"Have you ever heard the saying, 'Bow and Arrow is Truth'?"
Roy turned to Mulin and asked.
"Uh, Boss, you really are funny..."
Mulin thought Roy might be trying to make her laugh, but the smile on her face was somewhat forced.
Then, seeing that Roy did not look like he was joking, she heard him continue, "Only by holding truth in your hands can you have equality and freedom!"
Mulin gradually understood what he meant and sighed. "Back then, there were nearly fifty thousand Half-Elves living on Pagisto Plateau. We Half-Elves were scattered throughout the valleys of the Southern Plateau. The climate in the western forests was harsh, and few elves were willing to go there. If the Highland Slavers hadn't launched their slave-catching raids, we might never have hidden in those woods full of fir trees and Red Pine."
"If we had formed a Half-Elf Army earlier, those Highland Slavers might not have been able to hunt us down everywhere like prey."
"Actually, they were the native inhabitants of the plane. They barely even had iron weapons, and their understanding of magic was limited to spells. We elves possessed the finest magic, the best magical weapons, and our combat techniques were no weaker than those Highland Slavers'. Yet they still captured us all over the plateau. Thinking back on it now, we really were too weak."
"Actually, they already had very good weapons back then. The mine owners on the plateau supplied them," Roy said.
"Boss, I'll hold tightly to the truth and watch over Plateau City," Mulin said confidently.
Roy walked down the steps and climbed into a carriage. Turning to Mulin, he said, "With those words from you, I can go check on Sun Island Bay. Keep an eye on these Gray Dwarf prisoners for me.
