Night Battle

Overnight, a stone wall appeared at the narrow entrance to Sun Island Bay.

The ice wall continuously melted under the sea's erosion, gradually revealing the stone wall behind it. The Griffon Cavalry had fought through the entire night and now flew to the sentry posts atop the various arrow towers to rest. Only a large group of Highland Slavers warriors continued laboring away, carrying Hollow Bricks and building the stone wall.

After daybreak, the high tide gradually receded, and the portion of the stone wall exposed above the sea looked especially magnificent.

However, the giant stones dropped by the Griffon Cavalry could only serve as the wall's foundation. To build an actual wall, the Highland Slavers prisoners still had to stack Hollow Bricks over the sea surface to create a true City Wall.

These Highland Slavers prisoners had extensive experience in masonry. They first leveled the stone foundation, then stacked the Hollow Bricks and linked them all together with chains. Even without cement mortar, the wall could become extremely sturdy when connected by large numbers of chains.

Since the arrow towers were built atop the mountain ridge, the construction materials had to be gathered locally.

At first, the Highland Slavers prisoners insisted on using stones quarried from the ridge's cliffs to build the arrow towers. Later, Roy planned to connect the arrow towers with a City Wall, and from then on, the quarried stone was no longer enough.

To ensure the City Wall could be built smoothly, Commander Tiprado obtained a formula for a construction material from Miss Tiffany. It was the material used by the Janna to build their underwater cities.

Its main ingredient was a gelatin made by boiling huge quantities of kelp. The gelatin was mixed into sand and gravel, pressed into the shape of Hollow Bricks
