Roy had a complete set of charts for every region of the Endless Sea, personally compiled by Abbott. Seeing that many of the lines on Madam Nancy's chart were rather blurry, he took out Abbott's set from his Magic Pouch and found the chart of the waters near the Empress Ivini Islands.
Sure enough, Abbott's chart was far more comprehensive and clear. It even marked the approximate distances between many islands. More astonishingly, Abbott had marked the directions of the ocean currents and noted which months of the year were more suitable for sailing.
"Your set of charts is quite complete. Whoever drew them must have put a great deal of thought into it," Madam Nancy said, offering rare praise.
"He was my best friend, Abbott. Unfortunately, he died. I killed him myself," Roy said calmly, holding the chart.
So much time had passed since then that he had gradually begun to let it go...
