Opeiya left the window without looking back, walked over to Grems and Roy, and began chatting familiarly with them.
Talis noticed that he had spoken a little too loudly just now and had drawn the curious gazes of several nearby mages. He casually straightened his collar, turned around, and hurried away from the window.
"Opeiya, we didn't disturb you, did we? We came to visit Magister Jonas."
Roy chuckled. After several months apart, Opeiya looked far more spirited than she had in the Dark Land.
"Teacher should still be resting at this hour. I'll go take a look. You two come with me first."
As Magister Jonas's assistant, Opeiya had a great deal of freedom within the Astrologer's Guild. She had no research projects of her own and mainly assisted Magister Jonas.
Although Opeiya had no famous research achievements in the Astrologer's Guild, she was someone many mages needed to befriend and curry favor with.
There were practically none like Talis who dared to shout at Opeiya in public.
Opeiya swayed gracefully as she walked, her slender waist and full hips making Grems and Roy a little dizzy. The two secretly exchanged glances and hurried after her to the lounge area in the hall. Along the way, mages constantly greeted Opeiya, while some invited her to dinner or a ball, only to be casually turned down by her.
The lounge area was located in one corner of the Astrologer's Guild hall.
It was separated by rows of potted plants and vines, with several chairs placed casually inside.
Several sets of Magic Crystals sat on the floor, engraved with Magic Runes. Faint magical light flowed freely along the rune patterns, extending outward to form wonderfully strange virtual images that looked like floating continents.
