When the fleet returned to Sun Island Bay, they discovered that there was almost no trace of the Dark Faceless One Legion in the surrounding waters.

The Siren patrol squads swam two hundred nautical miles along the edge of the continental shelf without finding any sign of Dark Faceless One warriors. They concluded that the Faceless Legion had most likely fled back to the pitch-black abyssal depths.

Commander Jerome of the Holy Knight Order and Commander Flint had already arrived at Sun Island Bay with the Priests.

At the North Coast dock, Half-Elf crewmen used cranes to unload the catapults and cannons brought back from Kui Island.

All these cannons and catapults would be installed atop the City Wall arrow towers on the mountain ridges around the bay. Although Whaling Ballistas could fire massive magical bolts, their range was ultimately too short. Against Faceless forces far out on the sea surface, cannons and catapults were more effective.

The Highland Slaver prisoners of war would carry all the catapults and cannons up to the arrow towers. Installing them would be a massive undertaking.

Commander Tiprado suggested having the Griffon Cavalry transport the cannons and catapults through the air to speed up the work, but Roy had no intention of involving the Griffon Cavalry in the construction of defensive fortifications.

The situation on Sun Island was currently excellent. The Dark Faceless One Legion had no spare strength to attack Sun Island Bay anytime soon, and the Griffon Cavalry Regiment's main task remained coordinated training with the Magic Airships.

Moreover, the Griffon Cavalry still could not coordinate with the Siren Warriors in battle.

Roy hoped that when the Siren Assault Team was fiercely battling Faceless Warriors along the coastline, the Griffon Cavalry would not only provide aerial support, but preferably activate Iron Will
