Upon boarding the Black Pearl, Roy saw some discarded wooden furniture piled up on the deck. Looking towards Jasper's Sea View Room, he saw that white curtains had indeed been hung by the window.
The elf has a lot of experience in room decoration, especially in the craftsmanship of curtains, chandeliers, wall lamps and tableware, which can be described as exquisite!
Jasper chose a very expensive silk curtain with exquisite embroidery. According to Jasper, the exquisite embroidery on the curtain came from the largest embroidery workshop in Aden City.
A magic lamp sits on the bedside table, and a fragment of a Magic Crystal Stone is placed in the gem slot.
The large bed was covered with delicate and soft silk sheets.
However, Roy felt that Jasper didn't need these things, especially since he had mistakenly chosen silk fabrics to decorate the room.
Because Miss Tiffany had a layer of fine scales on her body, loose threads on white gauze curtains or silk sheets would easily get caught on them...
In contrast, Abbott's room was much simpler, maintaining its original style, except that the sheets had been changed and a few of Abbott's usual clothes were hanging in the closet.
However, the few spider plants on the windowsill added a touch of life to the room.
Roy went up to the deck, ready to pick out some timber and planks from the remaining lumber.
"Roy, why don't you go check the room? Maybe you need to take some measurements or something."
Jasper leaned against the door of the Ship Building and shouted at Roy.
Roy waved to Jasper to indicate that he understood, and then climbed the stairs to the Ship Building.
The captain's cabin contained only a few chairs and tables fixed to the floor. In the rest area, there was a set of leather sofas covered in scratches. Roy walked around the rest area to the wall, pushed open the bookshelf on the wall, and the captain's bedroom was revealed.
Upon entering the captain's bedroom, Roy discovered that a wooden bed had already been set up, along with a bedside table. The two pieces of furniture were made of wood grain that had been coated with a layer of clear varnish, giving them a simple and unpretentious look. A beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling, resembling six flower petals, each petal emitting a milky white light.
A layer of soft fur was also laid on the floor, on the platform around the wooden bed.
White gauze curtains also hung on the two windows at the stern, instantly making the room feel warm and cozy. Roy was a little touched. He quickly walked to the window, reached out and pushed it open, and found that there were also four pots of spider plants hanging outside the window.
"Jasper, Abbott, did you guys do all this for me?"
Roy was a little speechless, so he turned around and hugged the two Novice Priest.
Jasper laughed heartily and said smugly, "Of course, aren't you a little touched? Haha, maybe you'll need a wardrobe too."
"It's fine as it is now," Roy said.
"Jasper said you need to choose your own bedding. Some people like silk, some like fine linen, and some like wool. Everyone is different."
Abbott patted the straw mat on the wooden bed and said to Roy.
"That's right, I like cotton..."
A figure appeared on the shimmering sea. She leaped out of the water, displaying her graceful curves in the sunset, and then plunged into the sea with a 'plop'.
The sea at dusk possesses a serene beauty, but the world beneath the waves is mysterious and filled with fear for both humans and spirits.
In particular, the various magical beasts swimming in the seabed exude a threatening aura.
Tiffany would always appear near the Black Pearl at dusk, because she knew that this was the only time Jasper had some free time.
Jasper stood up from the bow of the ship, removed his divine robes in the setting sun, and slid down the rope...
Although the tide was coming in, the water here was less than a meter deep, not deep enough for Jasper to jump directly off the deck.
He waded through the seawater, ran a dozen meters towards the ocean, then clasped his hands together and leaped into the sea.
When he resurfaced, there was another figure beside him. Tiffany had her hands on Jasper's shoulders and was kissing Jasper passionately...
The two then swam together in the sea. When Jasper got tired, they sat on the rocks on the beach to the left of the Black Pearl.
The Black Pearl perfectly blocked the view from the dock, creating a semi-enclosed, private space for the sea reefs in the shadow of the setting sun.
Tiffany, lying on the sea rocks, still had glistening water droplets on her face. Her wet hair clung to her beautiful face, and her eyes held a gentle smile. When she was happy, she always liked to slap the rocks with her fishtail, making a slapping sound.
Jasper had long since learned how to get along with Tiffany. To avoid being pricked by her fins, he had to avoid her elbows, back, and tail, and he had to be extra careful when hugging her.
"... Once I learn the Naga magic, I'll be able to grow two legs, and then we can stroll around the streets of Castleton City..."
Tiffany sat on the rocks, whispering to Jasper about their future plans.
"Really? That's wonderful! I'll take you to see the memorial statue that the Elf King erected here. The Lower District of Castleton City is very lively, and then we'll go to the Upper District to see how the Silver Moon Elf enjoy life."
Jasper said happily.
He was genuinely afraid of Tiffany's sharp scales; he would always accidentally get scratched during their dates.
Roy and Abbott sat at the bow of the boat. They didn't want to be third wheels; sitting at the bow would at least give them some fresh air...
At least it won't frighten the elves who accidentally wander into this place.
Of course, it wasn't to drive away the elves, but to send a signal to Jasper in advance so that he could take Tiffany and hide first.
The war between the elves and the Naga Sea Clan had only ended a few decades ago, and the hatred forged during that war was not so easily resolved, especially given the elves' long lifespans...
Abbott sat at the bow of the boat, his expression hesitant, like someone suffering from constipation.
"Roy..."
Roy was looking at the fishing boats on the dock when he heard Abbott call him. He turned around and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Could you speed up your studies? I mean, just study the courses related to navigation..."
Abbott said to Roy, "I just want us to set sail as soon as possible to find the treasure. Lately, I keep dreaming about that island on the map. We found a huge cave on the island, filled with all sorts of precious gems and magic crystals, as well as some valuable magical items, and maybe even an epic weapon..."
"The Black Pearl was practically overflowing with treasure. We just arrived a bit late. By the time we loaded the treasure onto the ship, pirates from other factions had already taken the opportunity to attack. The three of us were no match for those pirates. With the ship full of treasure and unable to move fast, we were about to be overtaken by the pirates behind us..."
"You were navigating the ship then, and Jasper was desperately pushing those treasures into the sea. I couldn't stop him no matter what I did..."
Abbott, with a pained expression, whispered to Roy about some of the bizarre dreams he had recently had.
What's even stranger is that his dreams every night are connected, and every night after he falls asleep, he starts drifting at sea, which makes him miserable.
"I understand, I will do my best..."
Roy didn't really know how to comfort Abbott, who always had trouble sleeping at night.
It seems that the half of the Treasure Map not only failed to bring him any joy, but also tormented him every night, almost driving him to the brink of madness.
Roy decided to teach Abbott about navigation and make him realize how dangerous the sea can be.
"Abbott, navigation is a vast subject. There's a lot to learn. Besides understanding the power distribution in different regions, we also need to know ocean currents, tides, and monsoons. We also need the most detailed nautical charts. I might even need to study astrology. Oh, and we'll need a mage on board who's skilled in botany and herbalism, and preferably knows a bit about alchemy, so we can have some vegetables while sailing at sea..."
Roy asked Abbott in a serious tone, "Do you know what happens when you're at sea for a long time and never get to eat vegetables and fruits?"
Abbott blinked; this Novice Priest had never been a sailor for even a day.
"What will happen... will we have to eat fish every day?" Abbott asked, frowning.
Roy shook his head and said, "If we don't eat fruits and vegetables for a long time, our bodies will lack vitamins and we will get scurvy. So if we want to live at sea, we must take this into account."
After saying that, Roy added, "And how can we avoid storms at sea?"
He pointed to a distant sunset and said to Abbott, "You know, I once read a story in... a book about a fishing boat that encountered a hurricane while fishing at sea. They wanted to avoid the hurricane but couldn't find Safe Harbor nearby, so they kept running at sea. Then another hurricane came from the opposite direction, and the two hurricanes sandwiched the fishing boat between them. A giant wave was tens of meters high, and then the boat sank..."
The story was a bit chilly, Abbott felt a chill run down his spine. He couldn't help but ask:
"Are there any survivors on that ship? They even managed to write down their stories..."
"Maybe someone on the ship wrote down their experience, put it in a bottle, and it floated ashore where someone else found it," Roy chuckled.
At that moment, Jasper quietly climbed onto the boat, while Tiffany left a splash on the sea.
Jasper watched Tiffany disappear into the sea before smiling and saying to Abbott:
"At sea, the most dangerous thing is not extreme weather like tropical storms and hurricanes, but those Deep Sea Magic Beast that often drag passing ships into the depths of the Great Sea Abyss..."
Abbott, pale-faced and looking anxious, asked, "Is it that dangerous?"
Roy and Jasper sat on either side of Abbott, their arms around his shoulders.
"So before we go out to sea, we must make full preparations. This week... let's take a boat trip and let you experience the charm of the deep blue sea."
Roy shouted...
