Bai Xu developed his unusual cultivation, allied with Gu Yue and the soul beasts, and spent a year and a half cultivating before enrolling at Shrek Academy. As he and Gu Yue settled into Shrek, Na'er confronted them and Bai Xu began competing for a class-officer position.

• Bai Xu joined the Spirit Pagoda, fused with a Thousand-Year Sacred Illusion Demon Ape Spirit Soul, and advanced under Leng Jiuming’s guidance while concealing his true strength.
• Bai Xu fought Gu Yue, battled powerful beasts in the Spirit Ascension Platform, and helped Leng Jiuming investigate an Evil Soul Master and protect Zhang Wa.
• The Spirit of the Plane revealed that Tang Hao was devouring the plane’s origin, and Bai Xu arranged an alliance between Gu Yue and the soul beasts while warning her about Tang Wulin and the God Realm.

Bai Xu rose to fame at Shrek through his victories, while his ties to Gu Yue, Na’er, and Gu Yue Na grew more complicated. The arc ended with Bai Xu and the Shrek delegation departing for the Star Luo Continent after he and Gu Yue Na confessed their feelings.

• Tang Wulin became class monitor as Bai Xu and Gu Yue became vice class monitors, while Gu Yue reclaimed much of Na’er’s talent and weakened her Martial Soul.
• Bai Xu completed his five-element breakthrough and helped Tang Wulin’s group through the Spirit Soul Tower challenge, where Xu Xiaoyan and Yuanen Yehui obtained soul spirits.
• Bai Xu defeated every opponent in the class tournament final and later beat six second-year students alone, earning the name Immortal Lord.

Bai Xu left Shrek, uncovered the truth behind the Dragon God's fall, and pursued a mysterious plane while drawing closer to Gu Yue and Na'er. After returning to Shrek nearly two and a half years later, he faced Tang Wulin's challenge as the Sea God's Fate event began.

• Bai Xu withdrew from Shrek and accompanied Gu Yue Na into Dragon Valley, where he revealed the Dragon God's role in the dragon clan's destruction and Gu Yue Na inherited the Dragon God's power and core.
• Bai Xu traveled with Na'er toward the Star Luo capital, survived an attack by Chou Zhiyi and the Holy Spirit Cult, and met another Bai Xu who explained their connection and showed Gu Yue and Na'er a possible future.
• Gu Yue and Na'er rejected the future they had seen, confessed their feelings for Bai Xu, and chose separate paths with him as Gu Yue joined the Spirit Pagoda and Na'er stayed to cultivate.
• Bai Xu and Na'er hunted the Holy Spirit Cult, raided its White Tiger City stronghold, defeated Chou Zhiyi, and freed the captives before returning toward Shrek.
• Gu Yue became Bai Xu's assistant at the Spirit Pagoda while Na'er returned to Shrek, and Bai Xu spent two years cultivating the Five Elements and developing his abilities.
• Qian Gu Dongfeng agreed to help the Holy Spirit Cult smuggle God-Slaying Soul Guidance Cannon shells into Shrek City, hoping the Cult and Shrek would destroy each other.
• Bai Xu, Gu Yue, and Na'er returned to Shrek, where Tang Wulin learned of their relationships and challenged Bai Xu over Na'er before the Sea God's Fate event began.

Bai Xu and Gu Yue Na confronted the danger of their merging, then joined the Blood God Legion to investigate and resist the Abyss. After Bai Xu destroyed Tang San’s Mental Imprint in Gu Yue Na, they renewed their commitment as the threat of an attack on the Blood God Camp grew.

• Bai Xu left for the Dou Ling Empire, where he defeated Qiangu Zhangting’s challenger and killed Yan Jie after Yan Jie used civilians as hostages.
• Gu Yue and Na’er fused into Gu Yue Na, and Bai Xu reunited with her before persuading her to fight for the soul beasts’ future rather than give in to despair.
• Bai Xu and Gu Yue Na traveled to the Blood God Legion, where they passed an Abyssal Creature assessment and joined the fight against the Abyss.
• Bai Xu developed a willow that consumed Abyssal energy, survived a battle with Heavenly Bull, and earned the Blood God Camp’s attention for his ability to stop Abyssal Creatures from reviving.
• Gu Yue Na recognized the dark self influenced by Tang San’s imprint and chose to trust Bai Xu, who later entered her Spirit Sea and shattered the imprint at great cost to himself.
• Gu Yue Na cared for Bai Xu as he recovered, confessed her feelings, and spent time with him before he returned to the Blood God Legion.
• The Demon Empress ordered an attack on the Blood God Camp and targeted Bai Xu, while Bai Xu learned that Tang Hao could discover his otherworldly nature.
• Tang Wulin’s Seed of Nature sprouted and spread life energy through the Blood God Legion as Bai Xu continued cultivating and preparing for the Abyss.
