Tony

Lin Feng turned his gaze toward the walls surrounding the area. Tony lived inside them.

These walls were far more than ordinary piles of stone.

Under Lin Feng's scan, he found machinery embedded within them. Inside was a massive machine, and Tony lived within it.

Lin Feng flew straight over.

The state of Earth had already changed. Superpowered individuals were appearing one after another, so his ability to fly was no longer anything unusual.

With a whoosh, Lin Feng flew above the walls. The walls enclosing the entire area appeared to be dozens of meters tall.

They were roughly as tall as a twenty-story building.

Looking at the various gun barrels mounted on the walls and the patrolling robots, Lin Feng was briefly unsure whether he should descend.

As he floated in midair, the robots on the walls began lighting up red one by one, preparing to fire lasers at him.

"Tony?"

Lin Feng called out, but Tony did not appear.

However, the robots glowing red gradually stopped moving and returned to their previous positions.

Lin Feng looked on in confusion, then cautiously began descending toward the wall.

But before Lin Feng could enter the Walled City, a bolt of lightning suddenly struck with incredible speed, giving him no time to react.

Lin Feng's pupils contracted sharply, narrowing to pinpoints.

His body flickered through the air in an instant, and his supersonic movement allowed him to dodge the lightning strike at the very last moment.

The lightning continued without pause, striking the city behind him.

Strangely, none of the lightning struck the small houses or residents within the city.

Instead, it all hit the narrow patches of open ground, gouging trench after trench into them.

Lin Feng appeared on the other side, gazing with mild surprise at the lightning flashing within the city.

The only one capable of wielding such powerful lightning was Thor.

So that guy was here.

Lin Feng had thought that Thor and Loki had gone somewhere into the cosmos, but he had not expected them to still be on Earth.

"Thor?"

Lin Feng's eyes instantly turned gold-red. He looked ahead at Thor, whose beard was unkempt, whose eye sockets were deeply sunken, and who seemed to have grown much thinner. Thor stared back at him with bloodshot eyes.

The hatred in Thor's gaze seemed ready to solidify into blades and axes that would chop Lin Feng to pieces.

"You!! You killed Heimdall!!!"

Lin Feng fell silent at Thor's roar.

Thor could communicate with Heimdall across immense distances. It was likely some sort of spell cast through Heimdall's eyes.

It seemed Thor had learned of Heimdall's death through this method.

"Yes."

Lin Feng did not bother hiding it and admitted it openly.

At Lin Feng's definite answer, veins immediately bulged across Thor's face.

Tiny arcs of lightning crawled from his eyes, while piercing thunder crackled around his body.

The sky, which had been relatively clear, darkened in an instant.

Deep, rumbling thunder boomed through the clouds, where streaks of lightning writhed like serpents.

Seeing Thor like this, Lin Feng understood that this battle was unavoidable.

His body shot out at once with a sonic boom like an explosion of thunder, and he was already outside the city.

Thor swung his hammer, lightning connecting heaven and earth around him as he flew after Lin Feng.

Only once outside the city did Lin Feng gain a slight understanding of the current state of Earth as he flew.

The zombies seemed to have become another race entirely.

They gathered together, entering and leaving a massive Nest about the size of an ordinary shopping mall.

This Nest had grown in the wilderness.

From its appearance, it seemed not to rely on any buildings at all. Lin Feng had no idea how the zombies had created it.

Lin Feng streaked through the sky, then spotted a ruined small town.

The town had long been deserted, and Lin Feng casually glanced down as he flew overhead.

That glance was enough to startle him. Several corpses lay inside every house in the town.

Their skin was grayish-white and their bodies stiff, yet they had long black nails and two curved fangs protruding from the corners of their mouths.

It was daytime. These were clearly vampires.

They could not come out during the day and could only move at night.

But humans could have attacked them during the day. Why had they been driven to such a state?

Lin Feng could not understand it, but he did not continue flying forward.

Because at some point, a huge net of lightning connecting heaven and earth had appeared ahead of him.

This web, made entirely of lightning, blocked Lin Feng's path.

Lin Feng turned around and saw Thor charging toward him like a comet wrapped in lightning.

Before the immense impact even reached him, Lin Feng could already feel the electricity making his entire body go numb.

He controlled the Tesseract within his body and opened a portal before him. When Thor charged up to Lin Feng, he flew straight into it.

"How simple."

Lin Feng closed the portal and raised an eyebrow.

The other side of the portal was Asgard, which was currently being ravaged by vampires.

After sending Thor back, Lin Feng looked around.

This was a mountainous forest filled with animals infected by the virus.

Their sizes and appearances had changed drastically.

For example, some deer had transformed. Lin Feng landed before a monster nearly as tall as a full-grown elephant and activated his illusion.

"This... was a deer, right...?"

The monster's antlers had turned into black spikes similar to those formed by the Blacklight Virus, twisted and vicious as they glinted with an inky cold light.

Its once-furry hide had mutated into armor covered in dense spikes. Its tail looked as if it were made of blades, and long silver-white spikes extended from its tip.

Some deer-like features still faintly remained on the monster's face, which was why Lin Feng could barely recognize that it had probably once been a deer.

Lin Feng wandered through the forest for a while longer. With his illusion active, the virus-infected monsters failed to notice him.

"The virus is changing faster than I expected... and even the plants have started mutating."

Lin Feng looked at a strange plant half the height of a person. Its roots resembled the tentacles extending from his tendril form and were deeply embedded in the ground.

Its leaves resembled two thin blades, their edges lined with tiny serrated spikes.

The two leaves spread apart, revealing flesh-like tissue within.

Lin Feng sniffed the air and caught an extremely enticing scent.

He could not tell whether it smelled like meat or something else, but it was incredibly fragrant.

"Is this a Venus flytrap?"

Through its remaining features, Lin Feng barely recognized it as a Venus flytrap.

It had changed so much that he had almost failed to recognize it.

After observing the surrounding changes for a while, Lin Feng gained a rough understanding of the situation.

He turned and flew toward Tony's Walled City.

Because of Thor, Lin Feng had yet to meet Tony. He now wanted to see where his old friend stood. Tony had not acted in that situation just now, which was rather strange.
