Early morning,
"Grandma, Sis, I'm going to train!"
Nawaki stood at the gates of the Senju Residence and called back to Senju Taohua, who was preparing a lavish breakfast. With a piece of bread clenched between his teeth, he vanished down the street without looking back.
"Nawaki, drink your milk before you go!"
Senju Taohua, still wearing an apron, hurried after him, only to find that even the shadow of her eldest grandson was gone.
Remembering how utterly exhausted Nawaki had looked when he came home yesterday, she pursed her lips in heartache, her eyes filled with nostalgia.
"That child is so much like Lord Hashirama."
Though Hashirama Senju had been extraordinarily gifted in his youth, he had never slacked off because of it.
He would often head to a creek by the Naka River early in the morning to train, staying there all day. He had been the kind of child every Senju Clan parent used to hold up as an example.
"Yawn... Did Nawaki take the wrong medicine? Isn't school on break?"
Yawning, Tsunade came downstairs in her casual camisole, her sleepy eyes barely open.
"Children's business is none of your concern. Drink this milk and don't waste it."
Seeing her granddaughter yawning nonstop and looking so disheveled, Senju Taohua rubbed her brow with a headache. She casually shoved the milk meant for Nawaki into Tsunade's hands.
This granddaughter resembled Lord Hashirama by eighty percent too, except all she had inherited were his flaws. She was so careless every day—how was she even like a girl?
"Huh? Why am I getting it again? That brat Nawaki always slips away whenever it's time to drink milk."
Tsunade reluctantly accepted the milk. Under Senju Taohua's threatening gaze, she braced herself and drained the warm milk in one go.
