"What a pretentious fraud!"
As the Spear of Longinus pierced Sirin's heart, Theresa's stamina reached its limit, leaving her without the strength to even stand.
Despite achieving the highlight moment she had always craved, Theresa couldn't find any joy. She tried to open her mouth, but no sound came out, so she took a big gulp of bitter gourd juice.
"Is this Auntie's highlight?" Kiana noticed Theresa's low spirits and deliberately said loudly, "Isn't this the Judgement of Shamash's highlight!"
Bronya understood Kiana's meaning and chimed in, "I think so too. It was the Judgement of Shamash that locked Sirin's power, and it was the Judgement of Shamash that delivered the fatal blow. The Headmaster is more like a launcher for the Judgement of Shamash."
"That's too much, Bronya! How can you say that about Destiny's S-Rank Valkyrie, the Judgement of Shamash!"
Kiana and Bronya exchanged a smile.
Theresa, who had been feeling down, immediately ground her teeth in anger and pounced on the two of them.
"That little shrimp!" Sirin exclaimed, exasperated.
"Don't be so rude," Cecilia gently tapped Sirin's little head, then pulled out a few tissues to wipe the cream from the corners of Sirin's mouth, and said gently, "You have to call Theresa 'Auntie'."
"I don't want to!" Sirin protested. "She doesn't even look older than me. I'm taller than her now... by two centimeters!"
Cecilia didn't know whether to laugh or cry. If other women were told they looked young, they would definitely be happy, but this was Theresa. She didn't know if what Sirin said was a compliment or an insult.
"Bella, want a piece?"
"Okay~"
"As expected of my little Theresa, even sacrificing her life, she has something to protect." Otto clapped his hands together. "Such noble thoughts, aren't they? This is all thanks to my education, which allowed little Theresa to achieve her current status and her desire to educate."
Kallen thought in annoyance, "You creepy grandpa."
[Accompanied by the thumping of a heart, Theresa, who had just breathed a sigh of relief, watched in shock as Sirin floated up, using the power of the Herrscher Core to repair her heart, looking at the fallen Theresa with icy eyes.
"Next, it's your turn to be judged!"
Sirin raised the Spear of the Void beside her.]
"Sure enough, the final BOSS won't die so easily at the hands of a supporting character. Now we'll see what Director Cecilia and that scumbag do." In the Far East Branch's small group chat, Shub typed.
Theresa was furious. "Hey, hey, hey, Shub, what do you mean! The Headmaster is also a presence throughout the whole story, she's the protagonist!"
Patrick: "Theresa, you can fool the sisters, but don't fool yourself."
Theresa: "You... you guys!"
Shigure Kira: "Ehehehehehehehehe."
Far away in Northern Europe, Shigure Kira put down her phone and muttered to herself, "The Far East is still the most interesting. I really want to be stationed in the Far East as soon as possible."
[The camera focuses on Ziegfried, who seems to be in a maze. Anxious about Cecilia and Theresa's safety, he is about to use the Judgement of Shamash pistols to create an exit, when a crimson bullet grazes his cheek.
Ziegfried couldn't be mistaken, it was indeed a Judgement of Shamash bullet. Behind him, the white-haired, blue-eyed youth reappeared, the same one he had seen in the Honkai Steel memory.
The mysterious youth explained the current situation to Ziegfried, but never revealed his identity. Only when Ziegfried pressed him did he explain that his main body was not here, but rather the stigma gene consciousness of Kaslana.
After giving Ziegfried a psychological suggestion, the azure youth's figure disappeared.
"Goodbye, my successor."
After the youth disappeared, Ziegfried looked at the potion in his hand. The youth had reminded him that only the Judgement of Shamash greatsword could break this maze, but he hesitated, afraid of completely turning into a Honkai Beast.
"No, I can't hesitate here!"
Ziegfried seemed to recall something, and suddenly became decisive, forcefully gripping the potion and injecting it into his body.
In reality, Sirin, who was about to deliver a fatal blow to Theresa, suddenly looked pained. A spark lit up on her chest, followed by intense flames. Under the scorching pain, Sirin could only pull the square Infinite Ouroboros from her chest.
"What exactly did that man do?"
The outer shell of the Infinite Ouroboros was somewhat shattered.]
"Okay, okay, so that's how we're playing it? Another cheat! How can the Boss win?!" It was a good thing Sirin didn't have a table in front of her, or she would have flipped it over.
"I can't believe it..." Ling opened her mouth wide. "One day, Brother Kevin could actually become a riddle-speaker."
"Doesn't seem like Kevin at all." Su shook his head and asked, "Yaqing, did you mess up the character setting?"
"Hey, hey, hey, do you guys have some kind of problem with me?" Kevin was dumbfounded. So in your eyes, he couldn't become that kind of steady senior?
"It does feel a little off." Mei suddenly spoke.
Kevin was shocked by his girlfriend's betrayal.
"Don't say that. Kevin has experienced at least tens of thousands of years of growth in the story. If he still can't grow up, he'd really be worse than a grasshopper." Yaqing said with a smile.
"That's right, that's right, huh?" Kevin suddenly realized that this guy seemed to be insulting him.
Chapter 47: The Final Decisive Battle (Part 1)
[The square Infinite Ouroboros was directly blown apart by the soaring flames. Sirin stared in astonishment at the man wielding the flaming greatsword, who was neither human nor Honkai Beast. Amidst the sounds of killing Collapse, the skin on Ziegfried's right arm had turned black, with purple-patterned claws, and a thick tail had grown out of his shoulder blade.]
"Hmph, just ants after all…"
Sirin waved her hand dismissively. Before the spears of the Void could even fire, Ziegfried had already leaped high, pouncing towards her like a ferocious beast, his sharp claws pressing down on her delicate face, pinning her to the ground.
"You… get off me!"
Utterly enraged, Sirin unleashed the Herrscher of Flame's power. Amidst the swirling flames, Ziegfried raised the Judgement of Shamash, cleaving through the fiery inferno with a single strike. Fortunately, Sirin took flight in time to distance herself, or she would have easily been split in two.
Seeing Sirin trying to create distance, Ziegfried, filled with battle intent, roared towards the sky, rocketing upwards like a shooting star. The floor beneath him crumbled from the force of his launch, scaring Sirin into flying even faster.
Without any support, Ziegfried plummeted towards the ground, using his Honkai Beast-transformed claws to desperately latch onto the outer wall of the Tower of Babylon. He gathered flames on the Judgement of Shamash, and with a mighty swing, the fire transformed into a vortex, engulfing Sirin.
"What… what exactly is happening?" Theresa, standing at the base of the Tower of Babylon, stared blankly at the scene. Einstein walked out from behind her, helping Theresa up.
From their conversation, it was clear that Welt was not dead after all, his consciousness remaining within the core, fused with Ahalato.
"So cool!" Kevin's eyes shone brightly. No man could resist beastification and a flaming greatsword, coupled with such awesome special effects in battle.
"The special effects are great, but I still think it's not as good as Hua's," Pardo commented. Ziegfried's effects were impressive, but they didn't have the same stunning impact on the audience as Fu Hua's Tai Xu Sword God.
"Sirin is getting beaten so badly," Kiana said, puzzled. "Where is Theresa's highlight? This is clearly Ziegfried's moment, making the Herrscher of the End scurry around with her tail between her legs."
"Aaaaaah, Ziegfried!!!" Seeing her spotlight stolen once again, Theresa howled in frustration, waking Himeko up.
"Ugh… what's wrong?"
Bronya looked on strangely, puzzled as to why Welt Yang just couldn't be killed off. Was this the privilege of a collaborating partner?
Little Knowledge patted Fu Hua and said, "Old timer, let me tell you…"
[The camera returns to the Destiny Headquarters. Amber, receiving six reports of Judgement of Shamash reactions, was somewhat panicked. Otto's appearance calmed her down as she looked at Ziegfried on the screen.
"Rather than a savior who saves the world, he is more like—a devil seeking revenge against the Collapse."
Ziegfried, relentlessly pursuing Sirin, constantly heard voices in his head saying, "Kill the Collapse, kill the Collapse." After using Judgement of Shamash six times in a row, the greatsword's energy was depleted, and the core gem on the hilt had gone dark.
"Finally used up all your strength?!" Sirin panted, her fair face smudged with ash. She snapped her fingers, and countless Honkai Beasts teleported out of the void, their target singular: "Get rid of him!!!"
But the next second, the previously arrogant Sirin was stunned. Ziegfried was actually eating Honkai Beasts to replenish his energy. This beast-like behavior terrified Sirin. After realizing this, she hurriedly hurled several spears of the Void.
Ziegfried leaped high, and the Judgement of Shamash was accidentally knocked away by a spear of the Void. So, he used his tail to grab the greatsword, and with a leap, he severed Sirin's arm. Taking advantage of Sirin's cry of pain, he slammed the sword into her back, driving her into the ground.
As Sirin struggled to get up, Ziegfried stomped hard on Sirin's delicate face, plunging his sharp claws into Sirin's chest. Amidst Sirin's pained wails, he forcefully ripped out the Herrscher core.
"The Collapse… must be eliminated!"]
"Stupid old dad!" Sirin pouted, glaring at Ziegfried.
Ziegfried whistled, avoiding Sirin's gaze. The entire film depicted Cecilia's maternal love for Sirin, but he, as her father, seemed to have never let Sirin feel any paternal love.
"Mom, look at him!" Sirin turned to Cecilia to complain, "And that stupid uncle too!"
Cecilia playfully patted Ziegfried and said to Sirin, "Sirin, you'll have to talk to Yaqing about this. He's the screenwriter; he wrote the whole plot."
"Stupid uncle…" Sirin sulked to herself.
"I bet Sirin is crying and making a fuss right now," Kiana snickered, like a cat that had stolen cream.
"Uh… what kind of feud is this?" Raiden Mei said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
"I never thought Ziegfried's highlight would be achieved by beating up his own daughter," Theresa said with a strange expression.
Sirin seemed to be a student at St. Freya Academy as well, although she had been on leave. If she were to beat up Sirin like that in the movie plot, Theresa really didn't know how she would face Sirin.
[Kevin's simulated illusion appeared behind Ziegfried, constantly giving Ziegfried psychological suggestions, but found that his brainwaves were chaotic. What was affecting him was the Infinite Ouroboros box in his hand.
Cecilia, still in the Infinite Ouroboros, crossed space with her worries about Ziegfried, causing Ziegfried to stop his movements and regain a little clarity. And Kevin, whose consciousness was connected to Ziegfried, felt his heart beat violently under this inexplicable emotion, causing him to recall someone.
"Forget it, just protect what you think is important."
Kevin gave up on continuing to give Ziegfried suggestions. Anyway, the Herrscher of Death's core was already in hand, and Sirin could no longer be resurrected.
In her dying moments, Sirin was still thinking about her god. She asked everyone, but no one answered her, as if she were in a dark ocean, gradually falling.
The Herrscher of the Void's power began to spiral out of control, and the Infinite Ouroboros was on the verge of collapse.]
"I didn't expect that the big boss would finally be killed off, and it would be… in that bastard's hands. I thought it would be Director Cecilia's final highlight," Shigure Kira said, not guessing the development of the plot, and thought it would be Cecilia's final highlight.
"Kirara, if you go to the Far East…"
Sitting next to Shigure Kira was a girl who looked about the same age as her, with flaxen gray hair the same color as Yaqing's, and gentle eyes and eyebrows like Cecilia's, and a pendant hanging on her chest.
"The finale is coming soon…" Pardo suddenly had an ominous premonition. According to this development, the ending could not possibly be sunny, positive, and uplifting.
"Sirin is so pitiful. In the final moments of her life, she sought help from her god, her mother, and her companions, but no one alive answered her call. She could only fall into that dark, deep sea alone," Sakura thought.
"So, even after 50,000 years, I will never forget her," Kevin said, holding Mei's hand tightly.
Chapter 48: The Final Battle, Part 2
[The camera shows the Destiny Headquarters. Otto sat in the main seat, listening to Amber's report. The Honkai energy on the Siberian Snowfield was constantly increasing and spreading. It was estimated that it would contaminate the entire Siberia in two hours. Otto ordered the Valkyrie troops to retreat, preparing to abandon half of Asia.
At this time, the camera specifically focused on a village not far from Siberia. Young siblings were infected by Honkai energy, letting out painful wails before collapsing to the ground.
Due to the Herrscher of the Void's authority spiraling out of control, Cecilia, emerging from the Infinite Corridor, recognized Ziegfried's grave injuries. She hastily prepared to use Abyss Flower to heal him.
"I didn't expect to encounter a wielder of Abyss Flower here..." Kevin's phantom mused to itself. Due to the Second Herrscher's core going berserk, it would continuously spread until it devoured all of Asia. They had no ability to stop it, so Ziegfried and his wife were doomed to die.
"Farewell, my successor."
Kevin's phantom vanished.]
"He... he-he-he, he actually just ran off like that?!" Kiana, enraged, pointed at the screen, her hand trembling.
"It's infuriating! He just left the mess for Cecilia to clean up!" Theresa fumed as well.
"There's no helping it. That was just a phantom, and only a quantum entanglement consciousness at that. The only person it could influence was Ziegfried, and now he's critically injured and unconscious," Bronya rationally analyzed.
