"We'll have a whole roast chicken, a pot of roast lamb with green beans, a serving of beef ribs in red wine..." Hagrid's thick fingers pointed across the menu. "And I'll have a Butterbeer, with two Pumpkin Juices for these young gentlemen."

"Oh, right, and your Tuna Mashed Potatoes. We'll have a serving of seaweed soup too."

"And pumpkin bread and lemon-fried cod..."

In the blink of an eye, Hagrid had ordered five or six dishes, all paid for out of his own pocket.

"Mm... and another serving of fried pig's trotters." Hagrid handed the menu back to the waitress.

Given Hagrid's Half-giant height, Harry and Tierra both thought there was nothing strange about him ordering so much food.

But when the waitress brought the dishes to the table, Tierra and Harry realized they had been wrong. Very wrong.

Perhaps because food was so easily obtained in the Wizarding World, the lamb was served in a huge thirty-by-thirty iron pot. There were ten beef ribs, each nearly as thick as Harry's little arm. The whole roast chicken was even bigger than a turkey, the fried pig's trotter was as big as Hagrid's head, and the Tuna Mashed Potatoes were piled in the center of the table like a small mountain.

Even with Hagrid's enormous body, Harry and Tierra doubted he could finish it all.

But clearly, they had worried for nothing.

By the time Harry and Tierra had nearly finished eating, Hagrid was directly gripping the huge pig's trotter and roast chicken in both hands and gnawing on them.

Clearly, this was far from the first time Hagrid had eaten like this at the Leaky Cauldron. The passing wizards, waiters, and the pub owner were all used to it.

"Let's go, Harry, Tierra. Sorry to keep you waiting." With that, Hagrid tossed down one Galleon and five Sickles.

Compared with the Muggle World, food was much easier to obtain in the Wizarding World.

Accordingly, prices were much cheaper as well.

"Come on. I want to buy you two birthday presents. Um... Tierra, your birthday was over a month ago, but it's not too late to make it up to you." Hagrid excitedly led Tierra and Harry into the pitch-black Eeylops Owl Emporium.

"Owls, toads, bats, and lizards... Take a look and see what pet you want. I know the owner. He can give me the best discount." Hagrid proudly puffed out his chest.

"Ha, Hagrid... you're here!" Through the fluttering wings and jewel-like gleaming eyes, the owner of Eeylops Owl Emporium spotted Hagrid at once.

Then her eyes turned toward Harry, who was following behind Hagrid.

"I heard from that old drunk Lavendi that you brought Harry Potter here today to buy his school things. This must be him!"

The owner of Eeylops Owl Emporium was a gentle woman with a rough voice. She half-ran, half-walked past Hagrid, seized Harry's hand, and shook it vigorously.

"And this young gentleman..."

"My name is Tierra Wu, ma'am," Tierra said.

"Welcome!" The proprietress gave Tierra's hand an equally vigorous shake, leaving a white mark on it when she finally let go.

This woman really had a powerful grip... Tierra quietly rubbed his aching right hand.

He saw Harry quietly doing the same thing.

"You must be a Muggle-born little wizard, aren't you?" the proprietress said with a beaming smile. "Otherwise, your parents would be standing behind you instead of letting Hagrid, that animal maniac who loves breeding magical creatures, bring two little children like you here to choose pets."

"Hey, Delia, I'm not that..." Hagrid growled anxiously.

"Haha, all right, Hagrid. I know you wouldn't cause trouble in front of little Harry." Delia broke into a giggling laugh.

"You two can pick any pet you like. It's on me, to celebrate our dear little Harry finally entering the Wizarding World."

"Go on, don't be shy." Hagrid's huge hand gave Tierra and Harry a push from behind, sending them into Eeylops Owl Emporium, which was filled with bird droppings, dust, and noisy birdsong.

"This owl is called Clark. He's a purebred Tawny Owl..."

"This one is called Hedwig. She's a purebred Snowy Owl. Her parents came from Leningrad in the Soviet Union, but sadly, they died last year..."

And so, as Tierra and Harry walked, they listened to Delia enthusiastically introduce the owls in her shop.

After introducing the owls, Madam Delia led Harry and Tierra through three more small doors in the shop, each leading to a room fixed with an Undetectable Extension Charm.

The first room was a rainforest area suitable for toads, pythons, lizards, chameleons, hornbills, and whip spiders.

Tierra enjoyed looking around, but Harry felt uneasy under the vaguely human, curious gazes from creatures hiding behind broad leaves. It reminded him of the snake he had accidentally released on Dudley's birthday.

Did that snake at the zoo also have to endure such curious, appraising gazes?

The second room was a cave suitable for bats and rats. It was extremely dark inside, prompting Harry to choose a pet directly from the owl room outside—

Just like in the original story, it was the pure white Snowy Owl named Hedwig.

Tierra followed Madam Delia into the second room, while the overly frightened Harry and overly tall Hagrid chose to remain outside.

"It seems you're quite interested in breeding magical creatures as well." Madam Delia watched Tierra squat on the ground, conducting a few simple response tests on the rats.

"Somewhat." Still haunted by the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tierra did not touch the bats. After playing with the rats for a while, he followed Madam Delia into the final room.

"I'll take this one." The final room housed common creatures such as ravens, chickens, geese, ducks, and dogs. Tierra pointed at a raven perched on a wooden stand.

"Good eye," Delia praised, letting out a sharp cry from her throat.

At the sound, every raven turned to glance toward Tierra by the door, but only the one Tierra had chosen flapped its wings, flew up, and landed on Madam Delia's arm.

Then Delia made a few more sharp cries at the raven. Flapping its wings, it landed atop Tierra's head.

"It's yours now. Give it a name," Madam Delia said with a smile.

"Raven!" Tierra said. "His name is Raven."

"A raven named Raven." Madam Delia giggled. "Mm, what an imaginative young man."

"Ravens don't need cages. They're more attached to humans than owls are," Madam Delia said. "And smarter too."

"Thank you, Madam Delia." Tierra raised his arm, and Raven intelligently landed on it.

The raven seemed to still be young. Its body was only twenty centimeters long, and it still had a trace of brown down on its feathers, making it look a little like an ordinary crow. Thus, with Tierra's current strength, holding Raven up was not especially strenuous.
