Background / History

Harry grew up neglected and bullied by the Dursleys, leaving him unaccustomed to affection from people his own age. He first met Tierra Wu when Rubeus Hagrid introduced them as future classmates; Tierra's apparent kindness and claim of a similarly difficult childhood quickly won Harry's trust 8 9.

Hagrid brought Harry into the Wizarding World in 1991. At the Leaky Cauldron, Harry experienced the overwhelming public attention attached to his survival of Voldemort's attack, feeling both uncomfortable and quietly pleased to be recognized 10 19. He learned that his parents had left him money at Gringotts and bought his Hogwarts supplies in Diagon Alley 11.

At Hogwarts, Harry joined Gryffindor and formed his core friendship with Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Tierra.
