At a window seat in Wave's Garden, Tierra and Jeffrey admired the restaurant's distinctive decor as they waited for the food they had ordered.
"You mean there are other people in the Wizard Alliance with Deep One bloodlines?" Jeffrey asked in surprise.
Tierra nodded. "Yes. Besides you, there are around a dozen other wizards with Deep One bloodlines. But most of them refused."
Tierra's answer eased Jeffrey's mind somewhat—
At least he was no longer the only wizard with this bloodline.
"They did not even persist until the point where I needed to draw the line for them. The moment they heard that they might eventually turn into those terrifying Deep Ones, they backed down," Tierra said. "I am not a tyrant. Of course I respect their choices. If they are unwilling, I treat them to a simple meal, then take them back to Hogwarts."
"Oh, right. They also get one day's travel allowance here," Tierra added.
"And you need not worry. If we discover other wizards with Deep One bloodlines later, I will bring them here as well. If they are willing to stay, they will receive the same treatment as you and serve as your assistants, handling matters concerning an alliance with the Deep Ones."
"Then, Mr. Tierra, when will we set out to find the Deep Ones?" Jeffrey asked.
"No rush. We do not need to seek out the Deep Ones. We only need to wait and let the Deep Ones come to us," Tierra said.
"Come to us?" Jeffrey asked in confusion. "Given the current situation, should we not find them as soon as possible?"
"That is true, but we cannot go to the deep sea where the Deep Ones live. More precisely, I cannot enter the deep sea where the Deep Ones are," Tierra said
