Realm Classification

• The Terrestrial Immortal Realm has four recognized stages: Three Flowers Gathering, Five Qi Unification, Spirit Merging with Heaven and Earth, and Myriad Paths Unite as One 211.
• Most Terrestrial Immortals remain at Three Flowers Gathering; Five Qi Venerables are rare, while Primordial Spirit True Lords and Dao Unification Dao Lords are rarer still 211 273.
• Seven or eight out of every ten Terrestrial Immortals are stated to be Three Flowers Gathering practitioners 273.
• The gap between successive Terrestrial Immortal stages is comparable to the gap between major realms below it 463.
• A Dao Unification Dao Lord has only begun integrating their internal foundations. A peak Terrestrial Immortal has already fused all of their power into source power, creating a qualitative gulf between the two despite their apparent placement in the same stage 509.

Cultivation Requirements

• A practitioner’s cultivation methods must be coherent before attempting the realm. Disconnected methods may not cause problems below the Divine Immortal Realm, but make it extremely difficult to “connect oneself” and enter the Terrestrial Immortal Realm 276.
• A recommended path is to use a foundational method to integrate one’s existing techniques, then create a personal Terrestrial Immortal Realm method from accumulated knowledge and individual foundations 276.
• Rapid advancement through borrowed methods, forbidden arts, or forcibly supplied resources can produce a realm increase without matching combat power or future potential 273 362.
• Five Qi Unification depends less on cultivation speed than on obtaining sufficient innate Five Elements materials to establish the five Dao Palaces 458.
• Reaching the realm through a single inherited method is possible, but an overreliance on shortcuts can leave a cultivator unable to rival truly foundational experts 362.

Detachment from worldly affairs

• Terrestrial Immortals are regarded as detached from ordinary political authority; nobles and imperial figures are considered mere mortals in their eyes 139.
• Their cooperation with secular powers is generally driven by access to resources and influence rather than genuine submission 139.
• A Terrestrial Immortal without exploitable weaknesses can threaten the Brocade Guard, aristocratic families, ministers, princes, and even the imperial family if provoked 194.
• This perceived inability to restrain them is why Divine Immortal Realm experts bear the title “Terrestrial Immortal” 139 194.

Body, energy, and lifespan

• At Three Flowers Gathering, the physical body is comparable to a spiritual artifact; specialized body refiners may approach high-grade or supreme-grade spiritual artifact durability 349.
• Terrestrial Immortals possess vastly greater internal energy than Divine Tribulation Realm cultivators, though they cannot squander it without limit 340.
• Ordinary Terrestrial Immortals have roughly a thousand years of lifespan, while exceptional physiques and inheritances can extend this by several centuries 319 393.
• At the realm’s peak, all internal power can be refined into source power—the purest and most extreme form of personal power described for the martial path 502.

Combat practice

• Terrestrial Immortals generally favor divine abilities and secret arts over ordinary martial skills 440.
• Advanced True Lords and Dao Lords can integrate techniques and martial skills into every movement, making a punch or kick itself a manifestation of martial skill 440.
• Most Terrestrial Immortals possess supreme-grade spiritual artifacts, but suitable higher-grade weapons are scarce; many therefore rely primarily on their bodies and personal methods 349.
• Lower-realm cultivators normally cannot defeat a Terrestrial Immortal, even at the peak of Divine Tribulation; exceptional foundations can nevertheless create rare exceptions 463 390.

Social and Political Significance

• More than a dozen Eastern Province factions, including the Azure Sun Temple, Divine Fire Sect, Qin Family, Heavenly Zen Temple, and Cloud Gazing Palace, are supported by Terrestrial Immortals 194.
• The Great Zhou Dynasty is stated to have no fewer than one hundred Terrestrial Immortals publicly, with an unknown number concealed in the shadows 319.
• During the conflict in the Demon Domain, most Terrestrial Immortals of the Ancient Life Star entered the region to compete for the Eternal Abyss’s opportunities and deny them to the opposing race 454.
• For Three Purities Mountain, reaching the Terrestrial Immortal Realm is the threshold for its twelve true disciples to contend for the Heavenly Lord position; the position itself requires the realm’s peak 283.

• The realm is initially presented as an almost unreachable political and martial threat: figures below it fear that a single Terrestrial Immortal can act beyond the control of dynasties and institutions 139 194.
• Chen Fan challenges this hierarchy before entering the realm, defeating and killing the newly ascended Three-Eyed Tiger King while still at the peak of Divine Tribulation 389 390.
• After Chen Fan’s breakthrough, Terrestrial Immortal power becomes central to the human–demon war, particularly in the struggle for Nine Nether City and the Eternal Abyss 454 458.
• Chen Fan ultimately reaches the realm’s peak by tempering an Immortal Primordial Spirit and unifying his personal power, standing at the pinnacle of the world’s martial cultivation 502.
