Background / History

Chen Fan transmigrated after the original owner—a young Brocade Guard orphan—died from injuries and Yin poison inflicted by a Five-Colored Toad demon. Facing death, Chen Fan asked to personally kill a demon before he died, preserving the original owner’s duty as a Brocade Guard. Wang Chao secured a captured Boar Demon for him, allowing Chen Fan to make his first kill and exploit his lifespan-stealing ability 1 2.

His rapid rise began in Ping An County. By consuming Demonkin Lifespan, he elevated ordinary martial arts far beyond their intended limits, survived the poison that should have killed him, and uncovered Centurion Cao De’s collusion with demons. He ultimately broke through the Black Willow demon’s siege, destroyed its true body on Black Mountain, and saved the county’s population 18 22 40.

After being promoted and transferred to Dragon Abyss Prefecture, Chen Fan was drawn into the escort of Princess Mingyue.
