Background / History

Xun Er was born to Gu Yuan, the Ancient Clan’s patriarch. To temper her Dou Di Bloodline, Gu Yuan planted a sub-fire of the fourth-ranked Golden Emperor Sky-Burning Flame in her from birth. Because this made cultivation more difficult and he wanted her to have an ordinary childhood, she was sent to live with the Xiao Family. 15 216

At the Xiao Family, she grew up alongside Chu Xiao as his childhood sweetheart. Though Chu Xiao initially viewed her affection as familial, he later realized his feelings for her. In the original future described by his Diary, the Ancient Clan’s Black Annihilation Army forced Xun Er to return to the clan after she repeatedly refused; before leaving, she confessed first and promised to await him in the Ancient Clan. 15
