Bald Bully glared at Ye Lan. "Kid, what do you mean by this? Picking a fight with me?"

Ye Lan stared at Bald Bully. "I'll give you three seconds to think it over. Either leave the money and get lost, or crawl the hell out of here."

As if he had heard something hilarious, Bald Bully threw back his head and burst into laughter. He turned to his underlings and said, "Hahaha, hear that? This kid said he wants me to crawl out of here. Hahaha."

Bald Bully's lackeys looked at Ye Lan with equal disdain. The kid looked so fair and clean-cut—could he be an idiot? They had hardly ever seen anyone dare speak to Xiao Jing like that.

At that moment, Ye Lan began his countdown.

"Three!"

Bald Bully's laughter stopped abruptly. His bell-like eyes glared fiercely at Ye Lan. "Kid, I think you look alright, so I haven't bothered arguing with you. I'm in a decent mood today and don't feel like hitting anyone. Go ahead and ask around—what restaurant in Konoha has ever gotten money out of me? I'm eating here to give Ichiraku some face. Keep acting clueless, and I won't be able to hold back my fists!"

Ye Lan's expression remained as still as water.

"Two!"

The countdown continued.

Seeing that Ye Lan showed no fear of Xiao Jing, the people around them could not help but look at him with a measure of admiration.

"You little bastard who won't take a hint! Fuck your mother!"

Bald Bully could no longer endure such humiliation. He spat out a curse, swung his massive fist in a wide arc, then stepped forward and smashed it viciously toward Ye Lan's face.

Bald Bully's punch carried tremendous force. If an ordinary person took a hit like that, they would at least suffer a concussion and spend ten days to half a month in the hospital.

The onlookers' hearts tightened at the sight. Many of them had seen Xiao Jing beat people before. With one punch, that fair-skinned kid would probably be crippled even if he survived.

Bald Bully's lackeys, meanwhile, chatted and laughed, clearly long accustomed to such scenes.

"One!"

As Ye Lan called out the final number, Bald Bully's fist was already less than half an inch from his face.

Ye Lan did not panic in the slightest. Chakra swiftly gathered around his body, and he slowly raised his right palm. Rather than blocking, he lightly sent it drifting toward Bald Bully.

Bald Bully paid no attention to Ye Lan's movement. No matter how he thought about it, he could not believe that this pretty boy posed any threat to him.

Then, an unbelievable sight unfolded. Ye Lan's seemingly weightless palm landed steadily on Bald Bully's chest.

The gust from Bald Bully's fist merely stirred a few loose strands of hair over Ye Lan's forehead.

The next instant, Ye Lan unleashed his force.

"Waaah!!"

Bald Bully's face twisted instantly, and his whole body shot backward like a cannonball toward the wall.

Boom!!

With an ear-splitting crash, Bald Bully slammed hard into the wall before slowly sliding down.

When they looked again, a sizable crater had been left where Bald Bully's body had struck the wall.

Bald Bully collapsed to the floor and spat out several mouthfuls of blood.

Everyone present was stunned. Xiao Jing was a notorious local thug, exceptionally skilled in a fight and enormously strong—yet this seemingly frail kid had sent him flying with a single blow?

Bald Bully stared at Ye Lan in disbelief and trembled as he said, "You're a ninja??"
