Jigen Arrives

The next morning, after having breakfast with Genji, Seiji got dressed and prepared to head to the lakeside for the day's training.

Outside the village, a monk slowly approached from afar, clad in an elegant, fitted white long-sleeved tailcoat and loose black trousers. It was Jigen.

"Finally found you," came a murmured whisper.

Jigen identified the aura and slowly made his way toward Seiji's home.

The remote fishing village rarely saw outsiders to begin with. Since Jigen was walking directly toward Seiji's house, it naturally drew the vigilance of the two Jonin.

The two used Body Flicker to arrive in an instant, blocking Jigen's path. "Hey, who are you?" the Jonin named Kaguya Sugito demanded loudly.

"Heh." Jigen looked at them disdainfully, his expression blank. "Kirigakure ninja... that aura. Are you from a Kaguya descendant family?"

"Damn it, stop talking to yourself! Who are you, and what are you doing here?" The other Jonin, Kaguya Shinya, could not help but snap at Jigen's arrogant manner.

Seeing that Jigen had no intention of answering, the two knew this newcomer likely meant trouble. They exchanged a glance and immediately decided to strike first.

Sugito stomped heavily on the ground and charged at Jigen at tremendous speed. Chakra burst from his body and wrapped around his right fist as he drove a heavy punch at Jigen. At the same time, Shinya quickly formed hand seals from behind, preparing a ninjutsu attack.

Jigen calmly dodged Sugito's heavy punch, turned sideways, and kicked him in the abdomen.

"So fast!" Sugito was struck before he could react, and his body flew uncontrollably to the side.

Jigen extended his right hand toward the kicked-away Sugito. Several black rods instantly appeared and pierced various parts of Sugito's body.

"Argh!" Sugito cried out in pain. "My chakra is being continuously drained away!"

At the same time, Shinya had finished preparing his ninjutsu. "Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!" Torrential water gathered in the air and took the form of a dragon, rushing swiftly toward Jigen.

"Then I'll play with you for a bit," Jigen said flatly, casually shifting aside to evade the incoming water dragon.

"Don't look down on me!" Shinya shouted furiously.

He then charged at Jigen and threw a punch, only for Jigen to casually block it. When that failed, Shinya immediately leaped into the air with all his strength and rapidly formed hand seals. "Water Release: Water Fang Bullet!"

Water condensed amid a spinning current, then countless water spears shot out from it toward Jigen.

At the same time, Shinya adjusted his posture in midair and dove toward Jigen once more. His hands continued forming seals, and a spinning water blade appeared in his grasp.

"Water Release: Water Fang Blade!"

Jigen dodged the incoming water spears, then backhandedly grabbed the arm Shinya was using to form the water blade. Before Shinya could react, the water blade dispersed.

"Is this all Kirigakure ninja are capable of?" Jigen mocked calmly.

"Damn it!" Shinya roared and attacked Jigen again. His anger had nearly made him lose all form, leaving him to fight solely on the Kaguya Clan's powerful physical instincts.

"Don't make me waste any more effort. My purpose has nothing to do with you," Jigen said in an utterly flat tone as he effortlessly evaded every one of Shinya's attacks.

With that, he raised his right hand toward Shinya again. An invisible wave of chakra violently blasted Shinya away, and several black rods instantly pinned him to the ground as well.

"Boring." Jigen sighed, no longer paying the two any attention as he walked directly toward his target.

The sounds of battle so close by, as well as the fluctuations of chakra and ninjutsu, had long since been noticed by Seiji and Genji. Genji said to Seiji with a grim expression, "It looks like they're coming for our family. I'll cover you. You run first!"

However, before Seiji could even leave the courtyard, the sounds of battle outside had already subsided.

Looks like today won't be easy. To defeat two Kaguya Clan Jonin in such a short time... even if they're ordinary Jonin who haven't awakened their Bloodline Limit, the old me couldn't have done it that quickly! Genji thought grimly.

For my son, it seems I'll have to risk my life today. Genji secretly made up his mind.

He recognized the monk-like man before him: Jigen, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's vessel and the leader of Kara in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

"Shikotsumyaku: Dance of the Clematis! Flower!" The massive white bone drill shot toward Isshiki.

As Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's vessel, Jigen likewise possessed the Otsutsuki Clan's lofty disdain for ordinary people. Moreover, Seiji was only a young boy, and most of Isshiki's consciousness remained dormant. Caught off guard by this calculated attack, Jigen was struck hard by the Dance of the Clematis.

Jigen still suffered a minor injury and was forced several steps back by the blow.

"Cough!" Jigen climbed up from the ground. "I underestimated you, insect. To think you could actually hurt me!"

"Seiji, stand back! This isn't an enemy you can handle. I'll hold him off—you run!" Genji shouted, stepping between Seiji and Jigen.

"Another one here to die?" Jigen's expression did not change.

Genji raised both arms level, all ten fingers pointed toward Jigen.

"Shikotsumyaku: Ten Finger Drilling Bullets!"

Ten white bone bullets rapidly shot from his fingers toward Jigen. Jigen did not dodge. He spread the fingers of his right hand, materializing a long black rod. Grasping it, he swept it horizontally at the bone bullets. The Chakra Storm kicked up by the swing perfectly blocked the rapidly approaching bone bullets.

So strong. Time to risk my life! Genji thought as he slowly formed hand seals with both hands and shouted.

"Get out of here, now!"

"Yes. Take care, Father!" Tears filled Seiji's eyes as he looked at Genji, the only father he had known across both his lives. He knew his father was about to use a forbidden technique.

"Shikotsumyaku: Blood Burning Technique!" After completing twenty hand seals, Genji's solemn voice rang out, each word clear and deliberate.
