Jiang Hao was making his way through the jungle when he suddenly looked up and spotted a tiny black dot flying overhead. His eyesight was excellent, and he recognized it as an unmanned reconnaissance drone. He immediately ducked behind a large tree.

Drones could conduct detailed reconnaissance over an area, relay captured images back to command headquarters for computer analysis, and even use thermal imaging to search for animals in the jungle.

Jiang Hao thought for a moment, looked at the short grasses and weeds beside him, selected a few usable plants, and quickly began weaving. The Grass Weaving he had learned earlier came in handy. Before long, he had made a jungle suit. After draping it over himself, he took out a bottle of mineral water and poured it onto the ground, then rolled twice through a muddy patch until he was covered in filth.

He had learned this method in the Predator world. Now, even thermal imaging would not be able to detect him.

Still, Jiang Hao frowned.

High-altitude reconnaissance drones were equipment only the United States military possessed. It seemed the military had made a move. Jiang Hao guessed it was the National Guard.

Some people believed the National Guard was similar to China's Armed Police, but that was not the case. The National Guard was a regular military force; it simply differed in nature from branches such as the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.

Put simply, the branches above belonged to the nation, while the National Guard belonged to individual states. Yet its strength was formidable as well. The National Guard had over 400,000 personnel and advanced equipment. Just its air force alone had ninety-two squadrons and more than 1,700 aircraft, including helicopters, reconnaissance planes, F-15s, F-16s, F35s, and even B2 bombers.
