A burst of bells sounded behind her. Princess Anne turned and saw a young man riding a bicycle toward her, a huge tray balanced on his head. She was standing right in his path and froze, at a loss.
She suddenly felt someone tug her aside. Princess Anne instinctively leaned over, pressing against Jiang Hao.
Once the bicycle had passed, Princess Anne quickly straightened up. Somewhat embarrassed, she smoothed her hair and continued forward without looking at Jiang Hao.
When they reached a fruit stall, the Princess examined every kind of fruit. The vendor introduced them to her in Italian, and she responded with a smile.
At a fish stall, the owner saw the beautiful young woman standing nearby and lifted up a thick eel. Princess Anne shrieked and jumped aside, though her face was full of laughter. "It feels a little scary," she said to Jiang Hao.
