Explosions rang out without end. Buildings collapsed, and cries filled the air. The entire city was steeped in grief. Although the alien invaders had been defeated, the losses were enormous. No one knew how many people had died in this disaster.
Sirens wailed continuously as police directed people to evacuate. The military had finally arrived and began rescuing civilians.
Just then, two system notifications sounded in Jiang Hao's mind in quick succession:
"Ding~ Congratulations, Collector. You have gained 4,986 task points."
"Ding~ Congratulations, Collector. Your Justice Points have reached 10,000. You have completed the Justice Points collection task. The more you collect, the richer the reward. Please keep up the good work."
Opening the system panel, Jiang Hao saw that his task score had become 11035/10000. He was delighted. Another small goal had been completed, and now only the final task remained: joining the Avengers.
Black Widow stood up. Seeing Captain America and Iron Man in the distance, she said to Jiang Hao, "Deadpool, the captain and the others are over there. Let's go."
Jiang Hao looked over and saw that it was not just Captain America and Iron Man. Hawkeye, Thor, and Hulk were there as well. The two walked over, and Jiang Hao finally met all the Avengers for the first time.
Even Spider-Man was there.
When Spider-Man saw Jiang Hao approaching, he happily greeted him. "Wade, that moment when you carried the nuke toward the wormhole was so cool."
Everyone else looked at Jiang Hao.
"Let me introduce him. Deadpool, a member of the X-Men. He contributed quite a lot just now." Captain America smiled as he introduced Jiang Hao.
Hawkeye nodded at Jiang Hao. Thor gave him a glance, while Hulk grunted through his large nostrils. Cool and aloof yet kind of dumb—it was pretty interesting.
