After taking Chi Mei in, Jiang Hao glanced from afar in the direction of the Blood Cave. The Blood Demon was still asleep and cultivating, unaware of what had happened here.
Countless thoughts flashed through Jiang Hao's mind.
He had become Dan Chenzi and changed Dan Chenzi's original path. How should he proceed from here, and how was he supposed to complete the mission?
"Follow me."
Jiang Hao gave Chi Mei a low command, then rose into the air.
"Yes, Master."
Chi Mei followed closely behind him.
After flying dozens of miles, the two landed atop a mountain. Jiang Hao grabbed Chi Mei, activated the Earth Evasion Technique, and plunged straight into the mountain's depths.
There was a huge cavern within the mountain. Jiang Hao took out the Heavenly Fox Brush and, using spiritual energy as ink, began drawing talismans across the stone walls.
"Formation, rise!"
A flash of golden light passed by, and the talisman formation took effect. The cave dwelling was sealed off from all outside sounds and auras.
Chi Mei had been watching Jiang Hao curiously. She had never imagined that a disciple of Mount Emei would know such methods. Weren't they all supposed to break ten thousand techniques with a single sword?
But then she thought of the methods this Dan Chenzi—no, her Master—had used against her. She had never seen or heard of any of them before. There was also that forced contract; the pressure it carried had been countless times stronger than that of her former master, the Blood Demon. She knew then that this Master before her was anything but ordinary.
Once the cave dwelling was prepared, Jiang Hao sat down cross-legged and began absorbing Dan Chenzi's memories.
Dan Chenzi was Bai Mei's chief disciple of Mount Emei. He had previously been at
