The plane streaked through the sky. Three hours passed, and Johnson and Jiang Hao stared at the instruments before suddenly cheering together. "Waha, we're out of the country. We're completely safe now."
The plane had entered Mexican airspace. They were safe now.
An hour later, the plane landed at a small airport in Monterrey. Looking out the window, Jiang Hao saw four or five vehicles parked beside the runway, with more than a dozen people standing beside them. Once the plane came to a stop, those people approached.
Johnson took off his headset and smiled at Jiang Hao. "My capable subordinate, Troya, handles the smuggling business. I called him beforehand and told him to come pick us up. Let's go."
Looking out the window, Jiang Hao saw that the man in front wore a black long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his forearms. He had a slightly curled mustache at the corners of his mouth.
Johnson and Jiang Hao got off the plane. Troya approached with a delighted expression and gave Johnson a big hug. "Boss, I never expected you to come back. What a surprise. When I got your call, I couldn't believe it. It wasn't until I saw the news about the prison riot in the United States that I knew it was real. It's wonderful that you're back."
Johnson smiled and released him. "Let me introduce you. This is my friend Jason. Jason, this is my subordinate, Troya."
Jiang Hao had originally intended to shake Troya's hand, but the man was extremely enthusiastic and came straight up to hug him.
"Welcome, Jason. Welcome to Monterrey."
After releasing Jiang Hao, Troya looked at Johnson and said with a smile, "Boss, I've arranged everything. We'll give you a proper welcome. Let's get in the cars."
