First Year of Konoha.
The newly established Konoha already bore a faint resemblance to its future self. The somewhat familiar streets gradually overlapped with scenes buried deep in Masahiko's memories.
Masahiko wandered through the newly built Konoha, recalling how Hashirama and Madara had stood atop the future Hokage Rock yesterday, Hashirama spreading his arms as he announced the official founding of Konoha.
Uchiha Madara had provided the name Konoha, while Hashirama had proposed the title of Hokage as its nominal leader.
Konoha's timely establishment had brought Masahiko a full 100 Witness Points. Together with what he had earned before, he now had as many as 130. He did not rush to spend them, instead intending to relax for a while. After all, with Konoha established, he would not need to make a move for quite some time.
"Madara's expression must be quite spectacular right now..." Masahiko chuckled.
The General Assembly was currently being held in the Konoha Meeting Room—later the Hokage Office Building—to select the Hokage. In Masahiko's eyes, or rather, in everyone's eyes, this was merely a formality. Hashirama was the only possible Hokage.
A few Medium-sized Clans might have had their own thoughts, but the small clans led by Sarutobi would definitely all support Hashirama, and the Uzumaki Clan Head, Masahiko's grandnephew, would certainly support his own son-in-law. No matter what, though, no one would be willing to support Uchiha.
"No, Hashirama will definitely support Madara..." Masahiko shook his head.
Without realizing it, Masahiko had made a full circuit of Konoha, yet he had not found the building he most wanted to see: the Ichiraku Ramen Shop.
"I've really become obsessed. I actually believed in the legendary Otsutsuki Ichiraku..." Masahiko said with a bitter smile.
Although he had not found Ichiraku Ramen, Masahiko did find several barbecue restaurants.
