The Tragic Zamasu

Gods of Destruction possessed the absolute authority of destruction and could destroy all things. Under Supreme Kai Gowasu's constant influence, Zamasu had developed an innate fear of Gods of Destruction. Thus, when he learned that Chaya was Universe 10's God of Destruction and used Erasure against him, even with an immortal body, Zamasu could not help but feel afraid.

"Thump, thump..." Zamasu's green face stiffened as his heart pounded violently. Cold sweat streamed down his face, and his body involuntarily curled backward.

Chaya looked coldly at Zamasu, his expression completely unmoved. The God of Destruction energy in his hand suddenly burst with boundless radiance. Without holding anything back, he thrust all of it forward—

"Erasure!"

He gave a low shout. Boundless power crashed toward Zamasu like a vast, towering wave rising from a calm sea. Zamasu's body was swiftly swallowed by that absolute energy. Surrounded by pale purple God of Destruction energy, Zamasu struggled in panic as parts of his body were continuously ground into dust.

"No..." Zamasu let out a shrill scream and struggled for a while, but soon discovered that aside from the bone-deep pain, his consciousness had not vanished. Moreover, under the effect of his immortality, the destroyed tissues in his body rapidly regenerated.

"Huh?" Zamasu snapped out of his confusion, a trace of delight appearing on his face.

As it turned out, while the God of Destruction energy was destroying Zamasu's body, the immortality granted by Super Shenron resisted it, leaving the two deadlocked for a time. Since Chaya had only used a single mass of God of Destruction energy, after a brief flare of light, the purple glow gradually faded away.
