Everyone was stunned by what had just happened. Chaya was shocked as well. What was going on with this Spirit King's Palace? It could even devour Dark Angels?
When that Dark Angel had said the Spirit King's Palace was their headquarters, Chaya had truly been frightened, nearly thinking the Dark Angels were about to turn the tables. But who could have expected this to happen next? The Dark Angels had actually been devoured by the palace!
"Everyone, be careful! There's something strange about this palace. Fall back immediately!" Chaya's expression changed drastically as he shouted.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. Whis, Vados, Martini, and the others all turned grim at his words. They immediately gave up on continuing their attack against the Dark Angels and retreated instead.
What happened next was even more astonishing. After the first Dark Angel was devoured, the entire palace shook in place. Bang! Bang! Bang! Several more doors opened at once, and the same black energy attacked the other Dark Angels.
"Damn it!" Faced with the sudden turn of events, the Dark Angels panicked.
"What is going on with this palace? Why is it attacking us?"
"Forget that. Getting out of here is what matters!"
Seemingly sensing that their lives were in danger, every one of them went all out, scattering in an attempt to break through the Angels' blockade. But the Spirit King's Palace seemed to have fixed its sights on them. Several black tentacles kept extending outward like tough ribbons, curling around the Dark Angels and entangling them. Once caught, the bindings only tightened further.
