Background / History

Ning Wuque’s soul originated from another world; he was reborn into a collateral branch of the Ning family with only fragmentary knowledge of the Douluo world from his previous life. At the clan awakening ceremony, he received an ordinary Black-Gold Ant Martial Soul and Level Three Innate Soul Power—the lowest possible innate level. Rather than accept the limits placed on him, he resolved to build a path through training, experimentation, and self-created techniques. 1 2 3

The Black-Gold Ant was a basic member of the Dark Gold Terror Ant lineage. Its hierarchy included Dark Gold Soldier Ants, Dark Gold Terror Ants, and Ant Kings or Queens; Ning Wuque’s father had evolved the same Martial Soul into a Dark Gold Soldier Ant at his fourth ring. Ning Wuque therefore focused on forcing an earlier evolution through suitable soul rings and a body capable of surviving them. 2
