It had been half a month since Shadao ascended to the throne. The construction of King Star was slowly progressing, and the desolate oasis had become quite lively with the addition of a million people.
"Hoo," Krillin casually wiped the sweat from his forehead, turned off the gravity, and sat on the ground in a comfortable position.
"Check Status:"
Time: Era 757
Name: Krillin
Age: 21
Race: Earthling
Dimension: Level 1 Dimension (Equivalent to Korin)
Battle Power: 390,000 (Next Level Limit: 5,000,000)
Potential: 4,610,000
Training Speed: Light Speed
So fast! Unknowingly, he had arrived in the Dragon Ball World a year ago (not counting the Hyperbolic Time Chamber). He had increased his Battle Power by 390,000 in one year. How should he put it?
A Battle Power of 390,000 was enough to be a powerful overlord, even capable of dominating a galaxy. Yet, Krillin still felt immense pressure. His enemy was Frieza, whose 120 million Battle Power weighed on him like a mountain.
Over the next four years, he would need to increase his Battle Power by at least 40 million each year just to catch up to Frieza. At his current Light Speed Training speed, that was simply wishful thinking.
"System, how much Energy is left?"
"Ding, Remaining Energy: 98,000. Senzu Beans Remaining: 750. Total Remaining Energy: 473,000."
Krillin had gone to the other nine slave districts to secretly collect Energy Ore. However, these Energy Ores combined didn't even yield 100,000 Energy, which was quite disappointing for Krillin.
His training speed was still too slow. At this rate, he would likely end up as just a bystander. Now was the best time to catch up to Goku. Once the Z Era arrived, he wouldn't have another chance.
"No, System, I need to speed things up." Krillin pondered for a long time. He had to activate VIP. Although it would waste some Energy, he couldn't afford to worry about that now. He could find more Energy later; the priority was to quickly improve his combat ability.
"System, can we negotiate?" Krillin asked timidly.
"What?"
"Can you speed things up and lower the price?" Krillin asked with a small voice, but with a hint of anticipation.
"What do you think?" the System retorted.
Krillin: "Damn it, activate it! Activate VIP for me, I have plenty of Energy!"
"Ding-dong, Current Training Speed VIP. Monthly fee: 300,000 Energy. Monthly package: 9.8% discount. Annual fee: 90% discount," the System said enticingly.
"Get lost! Who do you think you're looking down on! A 9.8% discount? Just give me one month first," Krillin said, feeling a pang of pain in his wallet. But even a mosquito's leg is still meat; he wouldn't pass up any chance to save Energy.
"Is this what VIP feels like?" Krillin extended his hand, feeling every one of his cells perfectly in sync with the surrounding space, giving him a feeling of supreme dominance.
"Training in VIP mode: Battle Power growth base value of 5,000 points per day, improved understanding of Martial Arts, increased absorption speed of the Senzu Bean Plantation... and a total of N privileges..." the System slowly explained.
This speed was still a bit slow. Even 5,000 points a day was slow. "System, you're so arrogant, you don't have any more abilities than this, do you?" Krillin asked with some worry.
The System chuckled, "Do you want to try VIP 2? Or do you want to be a V8 boss? As long as you have enough Energy, anything is negotiable."
Krillin rolled his eyes, "System, I suspect you're an employee of some Penguin company."
"Naturally impossible. This System was meticulously crafted by Emperor Ma..."
"Alright, you can go back offline now!" Krillin directly interrupted the System.
Looking at the remaining 173,000 Energy, Krillin felt a bit uncomfortable. Every day was either spent searching for Energy or on the way to find Energy.
However, the many functions of VIP also brought him a lot of relief.
"Sigh, I still have to deal with bigger trouble. I eliminated Shaviza's subordinates, and Shaviza will find out sooner or later. It's better to take the initiative than to wait for death. I need to draw King Cold's attention away from King Star."
"Shaviza's troops are also known as the Mecha Force. I wonder if they have a lot of Energy?" Krillin mused, rubbing his head.
5,000 light-years away, Shaviza, who was in the middle of a battle, suddenly felt like he was being targeted. His movements faltered.
Fighting against Shaviza was a beautiful woman, clad in an ancient red battle robe, with galaxy-like silver hair and clear, glassy eyes. Her cherry-blossom lips curved into a faint smile. Her brows were furrowed, and a chill emanated from her, carrying a bloodthirsty coldness. Her body was covered in wounds. Seeing Shaviza hesitate, the woman swiftly dodged to the side. A flash of silver-white light, and she vanished.
Shaviza watched the woman calmly escape and couldn't help but feel angry. The energy blasts from his hands swept out in all directions, leveling everything in their path.
A yellow-haired alien cautiously asked Shaviza, who was in a rage, "Captain?"
Shaviza immediately calmed down and said sternly, "Xial escaped again!"
Shaviza watched Xial's disappearing figure, clenched his fist, and coldly said, "Let's go!"
King Star...
"So annoying!" Shadao complained, looking at the pile of proposals in front of him. Staring at these boring documents every day was driving him crazy.
"Ian, I'll leave these to you. I need to train properly so I can better protect King Star," Shadao said to Ian, pointing at the stack of proposals with a pained expression.
Ian gave a wry smile, but he was helpless. "Shadao is still so young, how can he sit still and handle these matters? It still falls to us old bones." Ian resigned himself and nodded.
Seeing Ian nod, Shadao's smile widened. "My people have placed a great responsibility on me, and I dare not fail their expectations. Now that even Ian has agreed, there's no problem."
Shadao happily ran outside.
Looking at Shadao's smile, Ian felt a little more at ease. "He's such an understanding child. Entrusting my daughter to him might be the best choice."
"Lord Krillin! Lord Krillin, I've come to find you," Shadao shouted happily at Krillin.
"Cough, cough," a voice came. "You're already a king, and you're still so impatient. What will your people think if they see you like this?" Krillin said, somewhat scoldingly.
"It's fine, Lord Krillin is the savior of our entire King Star. Anyone who dares to disrespect Lord Krillin will have no place to stay on King Star," Shadao said seriously, looking at Krillin.
Krillin looked at Shadao with considerable admiration. It seems I really judged him by his appearance. This kid is definitely not a simpleton.
After a long pause, Krillin slowly said, "I'm leaving soon!"
"Leaving? Lord Krillin, you're leaving? Why?" Shadao asked incredulously.
"Mhm!" Krillin nodded slightly.
"The aliens who invaded King Star were just small fry. The real powerhouses are still behind the scenes," Krillin said calmly.
Shadao didn't seem too surprised upon hearing this. He had already heard Krillin mention these aliens were small fry before.
As for that woman, you can all guess who she is, hahaha.
