The grotto-abodes left behind by ancient sages, the sect ruins remaining from a thousand years ago, often lay hidden in the mortal world and cut off from the outside because of the resonance between their formation patterns and heaven and earth.
Daoist sects whose incense lineage had endured for over a thousand years called such remnants "Celestial Origin Mystic Realms."
As time passed, the major sects all adopted this term.
To great sects and great Aristocratic Clans, mystic realms were not really anything "rare." Many great sects possessed more than one mystic realm within their ranks. Great Grain Sword Palace, for instance—many disciples could cultivate within its blessed grotto-heavens... For cultivators, once one's realm reached a certain height and could resonate with a certain Great Dao, one could use it to alter the nature of a stretch of heaven and earth. Great cultivators at that level possessed the qualifications to create "mystic realms"!
In other words.
A so-called "mystic realm" was merely a small world refined by a great cultivator.
It was simply that the refiners possessed differing levels of strength.
And so, the strength of this small world's laws differed as well!
Great Chu historical records stated that two thousand years ago, there had once been a golden age. Primordial Force had been so abundant it reached its very peak, and countless geniuses had emerged in response. That golden age lasted an exceedingly long time and gave birth to many "supreme experts." Perhaps for this very reason, the Primordial Force of this world began to decline.
At the height of prosperity came decline; when things reached their extreme, they turned in the opposite direction.
