It took Noah quite some effort before he managed to make out the words written on the sign hanging above the storefront.
As a Godslayer, Noah possessed Thousand Tongues, an ability that allowed him to learn languages in an extremely short time. That did not mean he could learn written text along with them.
The reason he could recognize the words on the sign was because the Priest incarnation possessed the trait of imbuing both language and writing with power. It made Noah even more sensitive to language and text than other Godslayers, allowing him to identify them through something akin to a sixth sense.
Of course, that only made Noah somewhat more sensitive to language and writing.
If he wanted to decipher writing he had never seen before, he still had to put in some effort.
Thus, he could manage something with only a few words, such as a signboard, but deciphering text at the level of an article was not so easy.
