After leaving Extalia, Noah flew straight into the sky and stopped in midair. Thinking back on everything that had happened during his less than two days in Edolas, he could not help but smile bitterly.
For Mystogan's sake, Noah had spared Faust.
For the sake of a faint resonance, Noah had spared Shagotte.
And with the Anima problem about to be resolved, this trip had still been quite worthwhile.
Of course, that was only because Fairy Tail had not actually come to harm.
If Fairy Tail had truly suffered because of Anima, then no matter how close Mystogan was to Noah, and no matter how desperately Shagotte begged, Noah would not have spared either of them.

As though it had been timed, the pitch-black sky suddenly churned like boiling water.
"Has it begun?"
As Noah murmured, the black cloud layer began to spin like an enormous vortex.
Before long, a gigantic hollow appeared at the very center of the vortex-like cloud layer.
"Crackle—!"
Dazzling Lightning Bolts began flashing from within that enormous hollow.
"Whoosh—!"
The howling wind also turned violent beneath the entire sky, as if it were stirring up a storm.
Under such circumstances, thick currents of air, almost
