Vol. 3The Tomie Return

Eiji built up Jujutsu High and protected the people around him while Kenjaku advanced his plans and a Special Grade Cursed Spirit threatened the students. The volume ended with Kento Nanami investigating Tomie’s return as new versions of her began appearing in multiple places.

Arc 9The Zenin Takeover and New Beginnings

Eiji brought Choso and the Death Paintings into Jujutsu High, seized control of the Zenin Family, and helped Maki complete her Heavenly Restriction. As his circle prepared a chaotic Fate/Zero film, Rika was sent to live in Tokyo, leaving her determined to stay close to Yuta.

  • Kenjaku planned to use Geto’s body and Cursed Spirit Manipulation to control Tengen and the Culling Game, while Geto gathered allies abroad and Eiji recruited Choso by offering him and his brothers a place at Jujutsu High.
  • Choso made a Binding Vow to follow Eiji, then defeated Eishi Kamo and the other Kamo Family members who came to challenge him, bringing public attention to the family’s history with the Death Paintings.
  • Geto reunited with Gojo and introduced Nanako and Mimiko, then joined Eiji and the others at a graduation celebration before Eiji and Toji confronted the Zenin Family.
  • Eiji defeated the Zenin elders with Toji’s help and became Acting Head, while the Gojo Family named Satoru Gojo its Acting Head.

Arc 10The Okkotsu Promise and Kyoto Chaos

Eiji helped Rika remain in Miyagi, arranged new training and protections for the children, and oversaw a body swap that sent Gojo and Geto racing through Tokyo Jujutsu High. After the group disrupted Jujutsu Headquarters to free Yaga from its scrutiny, Eiji summoned Tamamo-no-Mae and left for a sightseeing trip through Britain with Artoria.

  • Eiji arranged for Rika Orimoto to stay with the Okkotsu family, bought her the house next door, and began seeking a way to protect her from an anticipated car accident.
  • Atsuya Kusokabe fought Sasaki Kojiro to a draw, after which Eiji partnered with Ayaka Ashiya to make Simple Domain cursed tools and Sasaki took Kasumi Miwa as his disciple.
  • Eiji arranged care and training for the children, including Mai Zenin’s study of cursed tools, while Yuta agreed to become a sorcerer and Rika became his Assistant Supervisor with a protective Shikigami made from part of her soul.
  • Eiji arranged for Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo to swap bodies so Geto could learn Reverse Cursed Technique, and Gojo’s ensuing chase through the school ended with Masamichi Yaga knocking out Gojo, Geto, and Eiji.
  • Suguru Geto took leadership of the reformed Star Religious Cult, then joined Eiji and Gojo in disrupting Jujutsu Headquarters after its officials tried to control Yaga and take Panda.

Arc 11The Island of Octopus People

Eiji returned to Tokyo Jujutsu High as a teacher while Maki, Toge Inumaki, and Panda investigated a village and became trapped in a dreamlike domain created by a Special Grade Cursed Spirit. They defeated the spirit, and a cloaked figure with stitched seams appeared outside the village.

  • Eiji and Artoria toured Britain, and Artoria promised to protect him until her last moment as they vowed to stay together.
  • Eiji returned to Tokyo Jujutsu High, introduced Yuta and Rika to the students, and had Maki test the Thousand Machine Umbrella while guiding the group’s training.
  • Kenjaku created a Special Grade Imaginary Vengeful Spirit in a remote Indian village, sealed it in a Cursed Object, and learned that Eiji had become a teacher.
  • Maki, Toge Inumaki, and Panda investigated reports of a Cursed Spirit, found a trail of Cursed Remnants, and were pulled into a dreamlike island where they encountered Octopus People and the missing Sora Inoue.
  • Eiji suspected Mahito had transformed the Octopus Person and set out with Artoria, while Maki, Toge, and Panda fought the enemies in the dream and helped Sora escape.
  • The students followed sticky footprints into an Innate Domain, where the Cthulhu-style Special Grade Cursed Spirit attacked them and put Maki and Toge to sleep with its gaze.

Arc 12The Festival and Tomie

Eiji defeated Kenjaku’s Special Grade Cursed Spirits and later went on a Summer Festival date with Artoria, while Satoru Gojo tried to push them closer together. Meanwhile, Kento Nanami investigated Tomie’s return and the students who had dismembered her, as Tomies began reappearing in multiple places.

  • Kenjaku fought Eiji, who used his Ten Shadows and Open Domain to summon Heroic Spirits, but Kenjaku escaped after the Pox God trapped Eiji and his allies.
  • Eiji treated Maki and Toge Inumaki, then arranged for Suguru Geto to collect the captured Cursed Spirits and agreed to protect Toge from Satoru Gojo’s proposed lesson.
  • Eiji took Artoria to a Summer Festival date, where she won an eating contest and they enjoyed festival games, food, and fireworks staged by Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto.
  • Satoru Gojo followed Eiji and Artoria with Panda and Toge Inumaki, while Maki, Mai, Rika Orimoto, and Yuta Okkotsu also enjoyed the festival with their friends.
  • Kento Nanami questioned Reiko about Tomie, whose return led Teacher Takagi and the students to mutilate and hide her body after Yamamoto shoved her from a raised area.
