"Something seems to have happened over there. It's bandits."

Just as Tama finished eating and drinking and was thanking Robin, Shen Fei's group suddenly saw huge plumes of smoke rising into the sky in the distance. He spread his Observation Haki and immediately discovered that a village several miles away was under attack.

"Let's go take a look." Shen Fei and the others promptly packed up. With Leone carrying Tama, they hurried toward the village.

"Shutenmaru? So it's that Ashura Doji, one of the former Nine Red Scabbards. But does a village like this even have anything worth robbing? Why not raid those wealthy towns or farms instead? Is he afraid of Kaido?"

The group soon reached the edge of the village. From the bandits' conversations, Shen Fei understood what had happened. Bandits from nearby had come to rob the place.

Kuri's Pickings Village was exceptionally poor. Even the villagers themselves normally could not get enough to eat. Yet the bandits had come here to rob them, and apparently not for the first time. Shen Fei had to admit that this former member of the Nine Red Scabbards was not very bright.
