In the Astral Plane, atop a mountain formed from accumulated rock on an unknown medium-sized demiplane, Punk stood silently and expressionlessly.
The vast Astral Plane was undoubtedly exceedingly barren. Ninety-nine percent of Astral Plane space did not contain even the slightest trace of matter, but the scenery near a material plane was often entirely different.
During the formation of a plane, it would inevitably be struck by countless meteors. Thus, innumerable meteors not pulled into the plane by gravity would inevitably exist around a complete material plane. After evolving over the long years, these meteors of all sizes would form all kinds of "demiplanes." Demiplanes had no planar crystal wall and could not give birth to a planar will. They could only slowly revolve around the primary plane like stars surrounding the moon, until one day they were torn apart and devoured by the primary plane's gravity—or continued revolving forever.
Moreover, demiplanes tended to be small. A demiplane the size of eight or nine provinces was already considered large, while those the size of an entire nation almost all had the potential to become complete planes. Most ordinary demiplanes covered merely five or six provinces.
Beside a super-large plane like the Faerun plane, such inconspicuous small and medium-sized demiplanes were too numerous to count. Dense clusters of demiplanes even formed rings like asteroid belts, slowly revolving around the enormous Faerun plane. Once one left the Faerun plane and flew at light speed in any direction for a few hours, finding a demiplane no one had ever set foot upon was absurdly easy.
The demiplane Punk currently occupied was precisely a medium-sized demiplane he had found a few days ago.
As time passed unnoticed, more than six hundred years had gone by since Punk provoked the River of Fate. In such
