The Strange Damage

Punk explained this magic array knowledge in simple, easy-to-understand terms, but as he continued his "popular science" explanation, his expression grew increasingly grave.

After finishing his explanation of the "common sense," the thoughtful spellcaster immediately continued in a low voice to Smile and Kane:

"So, to sum it up, that abnormal Legendary magic array likely suffered a minor localized breach long ago. Then, over the course of time, its undamaged auxiliary circuits overloaded and collapsed as well, causing an extremely small-scale 'energy leak.' Smile's ignorant priests then mistook that leakage of laws for some so-called 'Legendary-tier disaster.'

"So... a new and even more troublesome question arises—why did the magic array in this legendary ruin suffer even a minor 'localized breach'?"

Once Punk had asked his question, both Kane, whose smile had vanished, and Smile, who had regained a little of her composure, immediately frowned.

All three Legendary powerhouses present possessed more than enough judgment, and none of them harbored wishful thinking about such matters. After Punk explained the various possibilities that could occur with a Legendary Level magic array, the three of them more or less guessed the answer to the spellcaster's final question...

"So... Punk, are you saying someone may have gotten to this ruin before us?"

Kane stared into the spellcaster's pale violet eyes and spoke in a deep, deliberate voice.

"That's right! Generally speaking, a magic ruin comes into being when its spellcaster owner goes out and dies elsewhere, leaving behind an ownerless magic tower concealed beneath layer upon layer of hidden arrays... But in that case, how could a Legendary magic array located on a Minor Plane with barely any Master Level professionals suffer even the slightest damage? Even if it ran out of energy, it should have silently dissipated without a trace."
