After reflecting on it, Punk, still traveling onward, began his customary review of gains and losses.
Strictly speaking, he had only lost four Legendary Level Magic Potions during this adventure, and compared to what the caster had gained, those four potions were clearly not worth mentioning.
The first gains Punk inspected were the forty percent share of Legendary Level Magic Resources allocated to him.
Somewhat regrettably, the magical resources Punk obtained were not actually more numerous than those he had acquired from the God of Red Sands' treasure hoard. Of course, this did not mean that the magical relic contained few magical supplies; it merely meant that there were few "usable" magical supplies left in a ruin that had been abandoned for 1.6 billion years.
It had to be admitted that although Archmage Kariuske had indeed been a Morningstar Mage, and although his magic tower's storerooms had indeed been packed with Legendary Level Materials just as Punk had expected, even from a Legendary perspective, 1.6 billion years was far too long. Such a span of time was enough to destroy the vast majority of magical materials. Legendary elemental crystals, alchemical metals, and magical beast flesh generally had no ability to endure such an absurdly long passage of time.
So when Punk and Kane worked together to open the warehouse, the sight before them could only be described as "too horrible to behold."
Obviously, before Kariuske left his magic tower, he had never expected to perish on the battlefield and never return. Nor had he imagined that the materials filling an entire magic tower, aside from being used for experiments and research, could "benefit future generations" 1.6 billion years after the fall of Netherese Civilization, so...
Naturally, he had not equipped his "magical collection" with any effective measures capable of preserving
