"Ring, ring, ring."
The phone rang, and Father Pucci held it to his ear.
"Father Pucci, the Flame Chasers will be holding a newcomers' evening party. Would you like to attend?"
"I understand. I will attend."
"Then please keep tomorrow noon free. We will send someone to pick you up."
"May I bring someone?"
"Of course."
"I understand. May the Lord bless you."
"And may the Lord bless you as well, Father. Sorry for the disturbance."
After hanging up, Father Pucci tapped the desk and fell into thought.
Three days have passed, and no one has asked about the Herrscher Core.
Were they waiting for me here?
I should stay on guard.
"John Grey, go make arrangements in the surrounding area in advance."
"Yes, Father."
Vill-V had no interest in the evening party, and Pardo had run off somewhere. This time, Apponia and Seele accompanied Father Pucci.
They took a Flame Chasers private plane to their destination. As soon as they got off the plane, someone came to greet them.
"The party has not started yet. Please come with me. I will take you to your rooms."
"These are your rooms."
"Father Pucci, please come this way."
"There is no need."
Apponia took hold of Father Pucci's hand.
"The Father can stay in the same room as us."
"Uh..."
The guide gave Father Pucci a strange look, while Apponia stepped in front of him.
"Is there a problem?"
"No, no."
The guide waved his hands, then looked at Father Pucci again.
"Father Pucci, someone wishes to see you. When would you be available?"
"Let us go now. We should not keep them waiting."
Father Pucci stroked Apponia's head and said gently, "Wait for me, Apponia."
"This is the priest."
Father Pucci nodded and pushed the door open.
