In Kunlun, within Jiang Zhen's courtyard, Jiang Zhen was currently lying on a recliner, eyes closed, continuously browsing through the events that had transpired in the chat group over this period.
However, what he didn't know was that at this very moment, within the Merlot Heavenly Court, Hexi and Kaisha were engaged in a heated discussion.
"Hexi, are you certain that Jiang Zhen really said those things? You've spent over a hundred years traveling outside, observing the paths of those civilizations?"
Hexi's face was stern and serious as she looked at Kaisha and said:
"Kaisha, perhaps our technology really has been led astray by the Super God Academy—no, it should be said, by Shenhe Science. Back then, on Earth Star, after I heard what Jiang Zhen said, I didn't think there was anything wrong at first!
But on the way back, the more I thought about it, the more something felt off. In the end, I came up with a method: personally observing some civilizations. So, during this time, I visited over a dozen civilizations, including the Stone Age, Iron Age, the Age of Technology, and pre-nuclear civilizations.
But Kaisha, do you know? These civilizations all share one trait: diversity. Their development paths are diverse. Even among Stone Age tribes, each tribe was different.
By the time of feudal dynasties, even more variations began to appear. Those by the sea developed fishing industries; those on the continents developed agriculture; those on the grasslands developed animal husbandry.
And their combat directions were vastly different too. Those by the sea were strongest in naval warfare; those on land excelled in infantry combat; those on the grasslands had formidable cavalry.
In the later stages, they began developing technology, from early firearms to cannons, constantly undergoing transformations. Up until the pre-nuclear civilization, they started researching gene technology, initially for the sake of immortality.
Once they achieved immortality, they began continuously enhancing their Martial Prowess. Then, they started thinking about heavily developing weaponry, and so the prototype of an aerospace civilization began to emerge.
Moreover, they started attempting to incorporate various specialized genes into their genetics—such as thunder, flame, ice, wind, and so on—countless different powers.
And we Angels, in the past, weren't we the same? But later, everything changed. After those civilizations reached the aerospace stage and stepped into the cosmos, the first things they learned about were Super Soldiers, Divine Bodies, and god-forging civilizations.
Thus, they began endlessly studying god-forging civilizations. On various foundations, they started converging toward our current gene technology, while abandoning the gene technology they had originally been developing.
It's as if the gene technology we use now is the only correct path?"
Upon hearing this, Kaisha blurted out a sentence:
"Isn't it?"
The moment those words left her mouth, even Kaisha was stunned. After a few seconds, her expression turned grim.
"Why is this happening?"
As she spoke, she was about to activate the Sacred Knowledge Treasury. But just then, Hexi directly spoke up: "Kaisha, don't use the Knowledge Treasury. It's useless. This is a matter of habit, not error.
Moreover, the Sacred Knowledge Treasury itself was designed based on our own ideas. Although it possesses immense computational power, to a certain extent, this Sacred Knowledge Treasury is something that perfectly aligns with our principles. So, you won't detect anything wrong with it!"
Hearing this, Kaisha fell silent instantly.
At that moment, Hexi sighed and continued: "After discovering this, I realized the severity of the problem. Especially after the Shenhe Civilization, all beings like us were termed 'Shenhe Bodies.'
Kaisha, where did the name 'Shenhe Body' come from? It was spread by the Super God Academy. Gradually, we came to take it for granted. All of us, most civilizations in the Known Universe—those that emerged from their own planets—became the inheritors of the long-destroyed Shenhe Civilization? Kaisha, do you know what my first feeling was when I realized this?
It was terror, sheer terror! The Super God Academy is truly too terrifying.
Do you remember how we Angels started down this path? It was the Angel King two generations ago. When our Angel civilization first stepped out of our original planet, the Super God Academy appeared. They wanted to establish diplomatic relations with us Angels and generously imparted technological knowledge.
Thus, some cooperation began. Gradually, Hua Ye became the Angel King, and he too started following this technological route to conduct research. So, Super Soldiers began to appear continuously. After we drove out those scoundrels like Hua Ye, the Super God Academy came to us again, wanting to re-establish relations. To rapidly enhance our technological strength, we agreed. And so, our technology exploded, and our research into Divine Bodies became increasingly terrifying and powerful.
Yet, without realizing it, we too had walked down this path. Later, the Deno Civilization developed, and the Super God Academy, which we had driven away, began cooperating with them."
Then, the Blazing Sun civilization was added. However, later on, due to various reasons, a great war erupted within the De-Nuo civilization.
Subsequently, the De-Nuo civilization was directly annihilated, and the Blazing Sun civilization also had its inheritance directly crippled.
Behind all these events, there were traces of the Super God Academy. Though not particularly heavy, it was still possible to see that there were some issues here.
And after this incident, the Three Great Projects began to vanish without a trace. That was quite interesting.
The Power of the Galaxy, the Nuo Star God of War, and the Light of the Sun—these three God-Making Projects were nearly complete.
Then, these three parties were directly struck a heavy blow, suffering countless casualties. The De-Nuo civilization, in particular, was almost no different from having its entire race wiped out.
As for the Blazing Sun civilization, its planet was split in two.
That wasn't all. The prince of Blazing Sun, the next generation's inheritor, died. Afterward, a little girl had to become the vessel for the Light of the Sun.
Then, over time, she slowly adapted to the Light of the Sun. Meanwhile, the Power of the Galaxy and the Nuo Star God of War genes were also brought to Earth Star.
They began a process of continuous adaptation. It was as if everything had been calculated long in advance.
"Kaisha, I suspect we may have been schemed against by someone else!"
Hearing this, Kaisha frowned and remained silent for a long time before finally speaking:
"Hexi, don't speak of these matters to anyone. Also, notify all the other retired angels.
Tell them to begin secretly researching Gene Technology. However, this Gene Technology cannot be the current Divine Body Technology.
As for resources, we'll provide them. Also, every hundred years, bring out your respective research results.
Let's discuss them together. If we pool the expertise of so many of us and still can't forge a different path in Gene Technology, then I suppose that's how it will have to be in the future. But if we truly succeed, then, Hexi, you must abandon your current path.
Right now, our divine bodies are already Sacred Bodies. At the very least, no other civilization can catch up to us in the short term.
Besides, haven't you already learned the Clone Technique? Use clones to research the current Divine Body Technology.
As for the other Gene Technology you mentioned, you'll take charge personally and lead the research.
Follow your own ideas. From now on, this matter is the highest priority task for our Angel Race.
Every other matter must be pushed back. If what you say is true, then we must have a sufficiently powerful contingency plan.
Otherwise, we—no, the entire known universe—will have fallen into the grasp of a single great hand."
Hearing this, Hexi nodded firmly and said:
"I understand. I'll handle this matter as soon as possible.
Don't rush either. According to our calculations, the real curtain won't rise for another thousand years or so. A thousand years.
With the strength of our tens of thousands of sisters—a million angels—it's enough for us to push forward that other path of Gene Technology."
Kaisha nodded after hearing this and said:
"Hexi, that Jiang Zhen you mentioned—is he still on Earth Star? How strong is he? What do you think if I go meet him?"
Hexi frowned immediately upon hearing this: "No. If you go to Earth Star now, it could easily cause problems. You are the King of Angels.
If you leave now, the entire angel race might fall into chaos!"
Kaisha: "What if I go in secret? This Jiang Zhen, from what you've said, might know something. I want to question him clearly!"
Hearing this, Hexi thought for a moment and said:
"If you go in secret and don't get exposed, the problem shouldn't be too big!
Are you sure you want to meet him alone? You know, Jiang Zhen's strength is such that even if we joined forces, we might not be able to withstand him!"
Kaisha: "For the sake of the Angel Race, as its King, I must go!"
Hexi: "Fine. He's on Earth Star, in a place called the Kunlun Mountains. Here's the address."
