Background
Origins and the Family Genealogy
For generations, the Yun family had only one son in each generation and possessed no formal genealogy. Yun Ji’s discovery of the Yun Family Genealogy changed this: it named Yun Jiang as the first-generation patriarch, Yun Ji as second-generation patriarch, and Yun Long, Yun Hu, and Yun He as the third generation. Yun Ji established an ancestral tablet for Yun Jiang and began formal ancestor worship. 1 2
The genealogy also became the source of the clan’s first decisive rise. Inheritance cards granted Yun Long the Golden Bell Monk inheritance, Yun Hu Qingcheng Swordplay, and Yun He Wudang Xiantian Gong; Yun Long immediately entered the Xiantian realm. 3
Wanfang Lake Rise
After relocating to Evergreen Valley near Wanfang Lake, the genealogy renamed the family the Wanfang Lake Yun Family and recognized Yun Long as its third-generation patriarch. 22
The clan’s early foundation was strengthened through the Second-Order Mid-Grade Spirit Gathering Card, which Yun Long confined to Evergreen Valley’s core area rather than extending across all family territory. 23 Yun Long’s presentation of a Xiantian Dharma Gate to Great Xia brought the family major imperial rewards, including an Immortal Island, control of Wanfang Lake, a spirit vein, and 30,000 Daoist scriptures. 63
Succession and Western Expansion
Yun Long stepped down as patriarch and entrusted the position to his son, Yun Daoxing, before departing for the Battle of Heavenly Pride at Wanshan Pass. 76
Following Yun Daoxing’s Golden Core breakthrough, the clan formally prepared to transform into a Golden Core family. Its planned expansion toward the Chaotic Nine Regions required a new institutional structure and a move beyond its Wanfang Lake origins. 178 With Great Xia’s permission, Yun Daoxing relocated Wanfang Lake Town and the clan’s population into the Western Profound Region. 188
Founding in the Western Profound Region
During the clan-establishment ceremony, the Human Dao Sacred Fire transformed the clan’s Immortal Island into the Sacred Fire Immortal Island, while Great Xia’s Destiny Golden Dragon unsealed the Yun Clan’s destiny and granted it a Destiny Golden Seal. Yun Daoxing swore to restore the clan’s forgotten glory. 192
The ceremony immediately became a founding war when twenty Golden Core-level enemies attacked. The Yun Clan repelled the invasion through the coordinated efforts of Yun Daoxing, Yun Long, Yun Hu, Yun He, its younger generation, and allied forces. 194 197 200 In the aftermath, Earth Immortal City became the Western Profound Region’s central city. 204

- Cloud Court — Outside cultivators who reach Qi Refining and pass the clan’s assessment. They receive the clan’s protection and resources but are distinct from the genealogy-recorded core.

Known Future Threat
Yun Tongze, the reincarnation of second-generation elder Shi Tie, warned Yun Daoxing that a hidden force would hunt Yun Clan geniuses, seize their Dao Foundations through demonic arts, and draw the clan into prolonged war. His memories describe Yun Long and Yun Daoxing dying eighty years in the future and the clan enduring more than a millennium of conflict without fully conquering the Nine Regions. 274
This warning drove Yun Daoxing to accelerate the conversion of the clan’s resources into military power, including the planned training of 300,000 Foundation Establishment cultivators. 281
