"There is no absolute circle in this world," Shi Ge Mu said instinctively.
Yuan Shen laughed. "But in mathematics, a circle is absolute."
"No, what you mean is a concept. We defined a circle as every point on its arc being equidistant from its center. But such an object cannot exist in reality." Shi Ge Mu understood all too well how terrifying something as seemingly simple as an Absolute Circle truly was.
In engineering, it was no longer a matter of difficulty. Even Supreme One could not create it. It transcended the universe! It transcended nature! Yet Yuan Shen said excitedly, "If we can define an absolute circle mathematically, then we can define it physically as well."
"Because whether mathematics or physics, illusion or reality, all are defined by information..."
Shi Ge Mu fell silent. Huang Ji had said these things before. She was not ignorant of information; on the contrary, she knew quite a lot about it.
It was merely that her long-term study of physics had given her a logical way of thinking, making her keep her distance from information—something infinite, supreme, eternally inexhaustible, and impossible to fully comprehend.
Physics had an endpoint. It had a wondrous result, an ultimate answer.
Everything was based on phenomena, from which one obtained an explanation that could be tested.
In other words, all of physics was working on one super-proposition, solely in pursuit of the universe's ultimate truth.
Yet information had every possible solution. Any truth would do. Every answer was correct...
It was like a question whose standard answer was: omitted.
"Supreme One isn't the ultimate, is it?" Shi Ge Mu asked despite knowing the answer.
Yuan Shen scoffed. "The mysteries of the world are countless. The universe's Supreme One is merely an ordinary problem among innumerable difficult questions."
