Distant Truth

Their eyes turned grave. Star Cluster Overlord—hardly anyone in the Milky Way Galaxy even knew the term! Only a handful of powers, such as the Heavenly Heart Civilization, Miaozun, and the Truth Society, knew of it.

A Unified Force Civilization stood beyond a great threshold. It signified that physics had reached a pinnacle.

A pinnacle, not the pinnacle of all science, much less its end.

Only civilizations that truly reached this level understood the path from the primitive age to controlling molecules at the nanometer scale, atoms at the picometer scale, atomic nuclei at the femtometer scale, and finally elementary particles at the attometer scale, unifying the four fundamental forces.

All of that merely earned them a ticket to explore more of the universe's mysteries! From the first time intelligent beings looked up at the stars to the mastery of the material world through Unified Force, they had only grown from infancy to maturity, from apprenticeship to graduation.

Yet graduation was not the end of life. On the contrary, it was the beginning.

The more one knew, the more one realized remained unknown. If Unified Force were the end, why would the Truth Society pursue knowledge so obsessively? Wouldn't they simply settle down instead of causing trouble everywhere? In the vast universe, civilizations below the Unified Force level were nothing but ants. They could hardly claim to be exploring Ultimate Truth; they were merely completing their own basic scientific systems.

The moment a civilization unified the fundamental forces, it was as though it had entered a new world. It could be called an overlord.

A civilization of that kind could almost certainly dominate a galaxy, so the beginning level of Unified Force Civilization was called a Galaxy Overlord.
