The universe had ten dimensions, and its golden ratios lay at 3.82 and 6.18.

One low, one high; one material, one spiritual; one bright, one dark; one mortal, one divine; one diverse, one unified.

To everyone else, answering that question required transcending into the sixth dimension.
But Huang Ji already knew... If free will meant being able to do whatever one wanted, then the Great Holy Spirit did not yet exist.
But by the most basic standard of life—whether it could expel its own entropy of its own accord—it had already been born. The Soul Sea truly was a living being.
Life in the third dimension had souls because the being in the sixth dimension... was expelling entropy.
If it died, the Soul Water Cycle would stop.
Only microorganisms would remain in the third dimension, with no way for complex, sentient life to evolve.
