"Time to strike back!"
The million Singular Star Gods had been on the verge of annihilation by the Void Army. But now that cause and effect had been thrown into chaos, the tables had turned!
With causality unable to predict outcomes and particle states shifting erratically, the Star Gods were just as vulnerable as the Void Gods.
Each was like a blind drowning victim swept along by an unknown sea. No one could predict what terrible state they might collide with next.
Life was only one subtle, miraculous state among countless possibilities. Death was the far more common result.
But Huang Ji broke that balance. With him at the helm and gravity as their vessel, the Star Gods sailed through this raging sea of shifting states, avoiding its horrors along a safe route! The Void, by contrast, were like headless flies—ordinary clusters of particles at nature's mercy, unable to steer their own fate.
Naturally, they would turn into matter without souls or life.
At first, the Void Army's immense size helped them hold together. The changes did not affect each being as a whole; every particle in its body could occupy a different temporal state.
One clump of particles might be from a hundred years ago, another from a thousand years ago, and a third from yesterday.
So perhaps a certain percentage of the body would die while the rest remained alive. By the time the living part died, the dead part might happen to return to a living state.
Their vast bodies gave them more room for error, allowing them to withstand the temporal chaos better than the Star Gods.
But they could do nothing. Their weapons and organs could no longer function normally—or rather, all their activity had become changes in temporal state.
