The group escaped by sea, where Huang Ji began teaching them his energy technique while warning that technology would be needed to defeat the aliens.

• Lin Li brought Alan to Messiah, and Huang Ji’s attack on Khan’s computer systems led police to kill Khan during a raid.
• Michelle’s assault on the hospital ended with Michelle falling to his death, Nick being killed by Orange Hawk, and Saya crushing Orange Hawk’s head.
• Huang Ji told Hawking that alien laws, human trafficking, and coming disasters threatened Earth, and Hawking agreed to join the Illuminati and seek alien knowledge.
• Huang Ji recruited Nuoqila as his subordinate and named their plan to purge corrupt Illuminati elements Rebirth in Fire.
• Evil Dragon and his companions escaped an aerial attack at Teddington Dock, while Huang Ji helped drive Saya off the freighter and the group fled by sea.

Huang Ji brought Messiah to New York and infiltrated Base X13, where he exposed the Illuminati’s treatment of Sentinel trainees and helped them survive the Collapse Period. After Huang Ji’s defection sparked a rebellion, he escaped Mishu in the depot and opened the vault holding the High-Energy Gun.

• Huang Ji and Messiah escaped the British pursuit aboard the Glory, then sailed toward New York while he taught the crew about the Illuminati and revealed the Buddha Bone Finger.
• Huang Ji infiltrated Base X13 by posing as Instructor Dragon, gathered equipment, and took control of the Sentinel trainees’ training assessment.
• Huang Ji saved Hawk from the Collapse Period and told the trainees they had been treated as experimental subjects, earning their trust as he trained them to work together.
• Coyote learned Grania had been assigned to spar with Dis and warned Huang Ji that the Illuminati had set him up to take the blame, urging him to defect.
• After Coyote brought him an Electric Arc Furnace, Huang Ji attempted to escape, but Beelzebub intercepted and arrested him, and Seth and the trainees charged in to rescue him.

Huang Ji escaped the Military Zone with the trainees and built Messiah’s base in Detroit, while the Illuminati searched for the rebels and Luo Yan pursued his own investigation. To secure the base, Huang Ji and Adams targeted Veronica Arona, leaving her wounded but obsessed with finding Adams as Louis prepared for the fallout.

• Heinrich and Adams escaped the Military Zone after Adams evolved through Ascension No. 1 and bluffed Musa with the stolen Black Wand.
• Huang Ji used the Black Wand to kill Musa, then escaped with Seth and Hawk as Marco became entangled in the aftermath and Messiah’s rescuers helped him flee.
• Nuoqila led Messiah’s convoy through the storm and into the mountains, where Huang Ji treated Evil Dragon and removed tracking spores that had revealed their location.
• Huang Ji brought Messiah to Detroit, established a base in an abandoned automobile plant, and revealed the Antimatter Battery inside the Buddha Bone.
• Brando pursued the rebels while Luo Yan intercepted tracking spores carried by migratory birds and decided to protect Marco from Brando’s accusations.
• Huang Ji persuaded Adams to help control Veronica Arona by winning her affection and replacing her subordinates, then sent Adams to kill Louis as part of the plan.
• Adams infiltrated Louis’s mansion, killed several gang bosses, and accepted Louis’s offer to assassinate Veronica through the Assassin Group website.

After surviving two lethal prison games, he exposed how the captives’ identity slips could turn them into criminals, leaving the group to decide who would go first.

• Huang Ji manipulated Louis into attacking Cat’s Eye, but the assault ended with Adams gravely wounded and Huang Ji revealing that Huang Ji had orchestrated the conspiracy, and Little Seven died after warning Veronica to trust Adams.
• Huang Ji took over Veronica’s management team, helped Sophia and Heinrich advance their research, and used cancer cells to create a controllable meridian system for Lin Li before modifying his own body.
• Huang Ji trained Lin Li to overcome his fear of death, then brought Lin Li, Old Wang, and Alan to New Mexico and arranged to enter the Manor Hunting Game to acquire Lizardman blood.
