• Chen Mu fought the Emerald Green Beetle plague, sold insecticide smoke with Shang Huan, and advanced to Spiritual Light sensing before completing the Jade Seed and buying the Hundred Intents Spiritual Light Technique.

Chen Mu cultivated new techniques, defeated the Wushan siblings’ schemes, and earned money through farming and fishing. After the Five Ghosts Bag drew his attention to the river, a Black Dragon emerged and flew toward Jilong Dao.

• Chen Mu awakened the Hundred Mile Qi Seal, discovered Shang Huan had sold counterfeit goods, and ambushed Lu Ku and Yu Lin before taking Lu Ku’s possessions and binding the Wushan siblings through the Sevenfold Heart-Linking Gu.
• Chen Mu advanced the Five Ghosts Moving Mountains Incantation, learned Lin Su planned to use Mo Wuzhou’s friends as hostages, and later witnessed Lin Su confront Mo Wuzhou over the Exquisite Jade Disk.
• Chen Mu mastered the Hundred Intents Spiritual Light Technique, bought the Hundred Intents Shattering-Illusion Technique, and killed a giant cat during the mutant beast attacks on the Lower Courtyard.

As demand for Wood Spirit Guards grew, the Wushan siblings grew increasingly suspicious of Chen Mu and prepared to act against him.

• Chen Mu killed Lin Su, concealed his body, and burned down the Low Hill Courtyard before joining the others and leaving the abandoned settlement.
• Chen Mu reached Moon Embracing Mountain, overcame the Shattering-Illusion Technique by passing through the black sphere in his Jade Seed, and gained Divine Intent Talismans.
• Chen Mu crafted a Wood Spirit Guard and arranged through Shang Huan for Mo Wuzhou to lend his name to the business in exchange for a share of the profits.
• Chen Mu used Five Ghosts Moving Mountains to dispose of Wu Lie and secretly killed two other men who threatened Shang Huan.
• Mo Wuzhou agreed to buy Wood Spirit Guards, and Chen Mu supplied an order of fifty while Shang Huan collected and held the payment.

After Zhang Jin tried to seize Chen Mu’s business, Chen Mu killed him and continued cultivating as danger from the Cold Moon Toad and Snow Demon Qing Liu engulfed Moon Embracing Mountain. He escaped with the Wushan Six Siblings and other survivors to Tianhe Water Mansion, where he began studying alchemy and faced a new crisis when a Dragon Gate collapsed.

• Chen Mu killed Zhang Jin after Zhang attacked him, then ordered Shang Huan to abandon the cellar and keep their business going discreetly.
• As Mutant Beasts and the Cold Moon Toad threatened Moon Embracing Mountain, Chen Mu hid underground, built an escape tunnel, and practiced Yin Fault Yang Deviation and the Spirit Nurturing Spell.
• At the Training Ground, Chen Mu concealed his awakened Yin Fault Moon Blade while the Wushan Six Siblings fell under an illusion, and he led them out through a mountain filled with monsters and false scenery.
• Chen Mu guided the Wushan Six Siblings through underground waterways, found the injured Song Wuji, and lent him White Jade Coins before learning that Snow Demon Qing Liu had claimed Moon Embracing Mountain.
• Song Wuji led the survivors away toward the Tianhe Water Mansion, and Chen Mu traded food and scouting help for secret techniques and White Jade Coins during the journey.
• At the Water Mansion, Chen Mu accepted Song Wuji’s alchemy secret arts and began mastering the Five Elements Qi Absorption Method and Five Grains Talisman to make Fasting Pills and extract grain essence.
• Chen Mu built a portable cultivation field, sent Shang Huan a weakened Drunken Bait formula, and eventually produced flawless Essence of Five Grains from Yellow Sprout Rice.
• After a Dragon Gate collapsed and flooded part of the Water Mansion, Chen Mu asked Mo Wuzhou to teach him the Water Repelling Incantation and learned that rising rents were forcing residents to move.
