Chen Mu escaped Huodao Star, returned to Yunzhou, and cultivated his powers while dealing with Calamity Demons and Great Zhou’s schemes. He entered the Sacred Heart Academy and began refining a Yellow Springs Spiritual Treasure at Shuanghua Courtyard, where he uncovered hidden threats and secretly turned the Academy’s spies against their own mission.

• Chen Mu used Ghost Gate Pass to escape Huodao Star and landed in Kangzhou, where he cultivated, devoured a Calamity Demon, and discovered that Yunshan had been drawing more of them to Cloud Mist Mountain.
• Chen Mu drove off the Calamity Demon draining him, implanted Heavenly Demon Spirit Seeds in Di Xing and Yunshan, and secured half of Zhang'an County’s Incense Vital Qi before forming his Dao Foundation.
• Chen Mu left Cloud Mist Mountain for Yizhou, where the Hongdu Dean accused him of belonging to the Yellow Springs Sect, and Chen Mu subdued Hong Yi and made him guide him toward the sect.
• Chen Mu joined the Sacred Heart Academy, chose the Yellow Springs Gourd Creation Method, and was assigned to Shuanghua Courtyard, where he began cultivating the Spiritual Treasure and caring for its rabbits and rice field.
• Chen Mu discovered Soul Stabilizing Stakes and Yin Nether Insects hidden in Shuanghua Valley, and deduced that its rabbits helped draw Calamity Demons into the Netherworld.

Chen Mu moved from Shuanghua Valley to Tangshan Courtyard, where he built up his Yellow Springs Gourd and Yin Soul Monsters as demons overran Yizhou. After fleeing through the underground river with Tangshan Courtyard’s residents, he became trapped in Golden River City and began investigating the force binding them there.

• Chen Mu left Shuanghua Valley for Tangshan Courtyard, completed the Soul Stabilizing Stake’s Ghost Patterns, and discovered it could turn Heavenly Star Vital Qi into Yin Nether Jade Dew.
• Chen Mu killed Bai Shou after learning he planned to bury him as the foundation of a City God Dao Field, then tightened security as demons destroyed courtyards across Yizhou.
• Chen Mu used the Heart-Linking Rope and Soul Stabilizing Stakes to cultivate Yin Soul Monsters from Silver Scale Fish, while advancing the Yellow Springs Gourd and his other techniques.
• After Mutant Beasts began migrating toward Tangshan Courtyard, Chen Mu helped Tang Zong lead the residents through the underground Heaven-Reaching River aboard the Dragon Bone Boat.
• The Dragon Bone Boat vanished inside a volcano, and Chen Mu found himself and Tangshan Courtyard’s residents trapped in Golden River City by an invisible force.
• Chen Mu investigated Golden River City, found a Stone Dragon bound by Black Chains beneath Golden Pond Pavilion, and suspected the chains were connected to the restraint.
• Chen Mu attracted and captured Yinling with Soul Stabilizing Stakes, taught secret arts to tens of thousands of Yin Soul Monsters, and discovered that too many stakes caused the city’s barrier to contract.
• Chen Mu deciphered more of the Dragon Binding Chain while Tang Zong harvested 7,923 Yinhun, and the Yin Spirit Embryo absorbed a Yama True Aperture Ghost Pattern and entered the Nine Aperture Fetal Breath Realm.

Chen Mu escaped Golden River City, established himself at Nine Peaks Mountain, and used the Emperor Flow Paste’s arrival to strengthen his Heavenly Demon Armor. After killing Luo Ding and uncovering the effects of his Nether God Transformation, he prepared for a possible retreat as danger from Mili Heaven continued.

• Chen Mu used the Twenty-Four Pearls and Move Stars and Change Constellations to escape Golden River City, then traveled with Tang Zhimu to Nine Peaks Mountain.
• Chen Mu settled the Tangshan Courtyard disciples on Weizhi Peak and fused his Twenty-Four Pearls with its Earth Vein, increasing the peak’s Heavenly Star Vital Qi.
• After Emperor Flow Paste showers began, Chen Mu hunted awakened Mutant Beasts and advanced his Heavenly Demon Armor while Nine Peaks Mountain prepared for danger.
• Chen Mu trapped and devoured Green Barbarian, then completed the Heavenly Demon Armor and continued searching for demons and Mutant Beasts.
• When Luo Ding arrived at Nine Peaks Mountain and plotted with Green Barbarian to possess Chen Mu, Chen Mu avoided him until Luo Ding attacked Yuan Zhen and then returned to Weizhi Peak.
• Luo Ding ambushed Chen Mu, but Chen Mu broke free and used the Candle Dragon Dharma Body and Yama Feast to devour him and the Emerald Flying Cicada.
• Chen Mu discovered that his Nether God Transformation had caused a second heart and expanded Thousand Lantern City, while Yuan Zhen prepared the disciples for a possible retreat.

Chen Mu evacuated Nine Peaks Mountain’s survivors, joined the campaign in Mili Heaven, and used his Jade Cicada Dao Foundation to escape the Mili Dreamscape and save Renzi Camp. After completing the Yellow Springs Gourd, he discovered that the Life and Death Seal in Thousand Lantern City was improving his secret arts, and turned to strengthening his defenses against Demon Poison.

• Chen Mu evacuated Nine Peaks Mountain’s disciples through Ghost Gate Pass as Demons attacked, then established a coastal base and helped Yuan Zhen gather Qi Refining cultivators as Dao Soldiers.
• Bai Xiaoqing gave Chen Mu the Divine Demon Manifestation Chart, whose God Summoning Diagram reunited Chen Mu with his Heavenly Demon Body and accelerated his cultivation.
• Chen Mu joined Yellow Springs Sect’s campaign in Mili Heaven, purified Demon Qi to nourish his Jade Cicada Dao Foundation, and turned Renzi Camp into a refuge for wounded Dao Soldiers.
• During an assault on a Flying Island, Mili Syndrome spread among Renzi Camp and the Mili Dreamscape trapped Chen Mu and the Dao Soldiers.
• Chen Mu escaped the dreamscape through Thousand Lantern City, planted Seven Emotions Flame in the trapped Dao Soldiers, and killed Wu Neng'er when he attacked a survivor.
• After Jiang Daojun returned wounded from Mingling Island, Chen Mu treated the survivors and spent months recovering before completing the Yellow Springs Gourd and crossing the Sixth Gate of Qi Refining.
• Wu Jie thanked Chen Mu with monster corpses after recovering his limbs, and Chen Mu found that the Life and Death Seal was improving his Seven Emotions Curse and Mustard Seed Spell, prompting him to practice the Plague Immortal Method.
