Background / History

The Temple Master was born into poverty. As a child, he traveled thirty miles through the mountains to study, endured exclusion from fellow students and harsh treatment from his teacher, and eventually placed second in the imperial examination at age seventeen. His parents were murdered by bandits two years later, prompting him to abandon scholarship and join the army 1177.

At twenty-three, he encountered a cultivator and began cultivating. Over the following years, he tempered himself through travel, warfare, and life-and-death dangers. He entered the Emperor Realm within ten years, and within a century his name was celebrated throughout the starry sky 1177.

He established or presided over the Mortal Realm Temple, where he pursued the Great Dao while observing the affairs of the mortal world. At his peak, he wielded the Mortal Realm Sword, cultivated the Sword Dao inheritance Ephemera, and commanded the Great Dao power known as Chronos Light 1177.
