Treasures and Techniques
- Nirvana Divine Eye — The sect's foremost spiritual-eye art, practiced by seven of its nine Golden Core Adepts. Clear-Sight Spirit Water could increase the power of Dharma Eye- and Spirit Eye-type techniques, making its formula highly valuable to the sect 334.
- God-Sundering Archway — A Seventh-Rank Magical Artifact and one of the sect's three great treasures. Tu Jiao used it against Scattered Cultivator Blazing Flame, but it was captured after her death 338 435.
- Unity-Separation Divine Tablet — A Seventh-Rank treasure from which Xuan Yan comprehended the Unity-Separation Arcane Light. It was later seized by Five-Colored Divine Light 435.
- Nirvana Heaven Eye — The strongest and most famous of the three great treasures, said to originate from the eye of a Mahayana True Immortal who cultivated the Nirvana Divine Eye. It was close to becoming an Eighth-Rank artifact before being captured by Lu Qingfeng 435.
- Hundred-Battle Dao Soldier refinement — A laborious inheritance requiring mortal-state control, deliberate warfare, generations of training, and immense resources 343.
History
The Nirvana Divine Sect was one of the two foremost immortal sects of the Radiant Glow Domain, standing alongside Feiyan Pavilion and dominating the northern territories through its Golden Core Elders, treasured artifacts, and nineteen divisions of Hundred-Battle Dao Soldiers 333 337 341.
Its conflict with Scattered Cultivator Blazing Flame began over the formula for Clear-Sight Spirit Water. After the sect had bought up supplies of the water, its adepts sought to obtain the formula directly. Tu Jiao and Zou Buping forcibly breached Blazing Flame's formation, offered 300,000 Spirit Stones, and then attempted to take the formula by force when negotiations failed 334 338.
Both invading Dharma Gathering Adepts were killed at Blazing Fire Isle. Tu Jiao's God-Sundering Archway was taken, while Zou Buping and Tu Jiao's bodies and Divine Souls were later refined through the Heavenly Nether Strategy 338 339.
Ancestor Kuyuan retaliated by dispatching Feihuo, Xuan Yan, Li Gou, and 3,000 Hundred-Battle Dao Soldiers. The Three Friends of Impermanence suffered a costly defeat at the Illusory Wave Sea and withdrew after Feihuo was gravely injured 339 341 342.
More than fifty years later, Blazing Flame destroyed the Three Friends of Impermanence and attacked the sect again. Ancestor Kuyuan arrived with 9,000 Dao Soldiers, but lost the Nirvana Heaven Eye and Unity-Separation Divine Tablet to Five-Colored Divine Light. Kuyuan was then killed, leaving the sect's army in collapse 435 436.
The surviving adepts withdrew, intending to recall the five absent Golden Core Adepts and report the catastrophe to Myriad Beasts Immortal Mountain 437.
