Background / History

Min River is an immense waterway in Qi Kingdom of the Immortal Qin Realm. Lu Qingfeng describes it as comparable to the Heavenly River in scale, with waters broader than the Azure Dragon River and Clear Yang River. The Min River Dragon Palace stands beneath its waters, guarded by shrimp soldiers, crab generals, and aquatic attendants. 363 364

The Min River Dragon Palace became the base of Ao Zhan, the Min River Dragon Lord, after he fled pursuit and sought refuge with the River of Sorrows Dragon King. The River of Sorrows entrusted him with governing Min River and establishing influence within Qi Kingdom’s government and military affairs. 365 369

The Dragon Lord used the river’s divine offices to recruit and empower subordinates. Its four great lakes and three major tributaries each carried highly valued fourth-rank water-deity positions; Yuan Lake was one such office, bestowed upon Lu Qingfeng after he became the Dragon Palace’s prince consort. 368

Min River Dragon Palace

The Min River Dragon Palace is a vast underwater complex, described as grander than any mortal imperial palace. It serves as the command center for Min River’s aquatic forces and divine officials. 364

Military and Administration

The Dragon Palace maintained a disciplined aquatic army of shrimp soldiers, crab generals, water tribes, and spirit monsters. Its elite soldiers had reached the Second Realm of Fate Dao cultivation and could assume human form for formations and coordinated warfare. 364 373

• Lu Qingfeng received Lan Feihu and Yuan Bi as Yuan Lake Water Generals, each commanding 1,500 Min River Navy soldiers. 369
• The Dragon Palace supplied Yuan Lake with provisions, magical artifacts, Mirror Stones, and military-training resources. 371 372
• Min River forces conducted campaigns against demons and monsters along Thunderclap River, including operations led by Ao Lie. 413
• The palace’s military authority was constrained by the larger River of Sorrows Dragon Palace; commanders could not act independently against its orders. 413

Political Decline

Min River’s position deteriorated after Lu Qingfeng was accused of becoming the demon defector “He Shan.” The accusation led the River of Sorrows faction to punish Ao Zhan and Min River’s forces, demoting them to Poison Dragon Pool. 420 422

Many of Ao Zhan’s former allies refused to follow him after the demotion, leaving his family with only a small core of loyal forces. The Min River Dragon Lord position was subsequently assigned to another ruler. 421 424

Despite these changes, Min River remained a significant regional power. A later Min River Water Lord was counted among the four most influential figures in the territories of Min River and the Kingdom of Nan. 477
