Hexagram

Vivi watched Pabbie and Anne's backs disappear around the corner of the corridor, then turned and sat back down at the Old Oak Table.

Harry did not leave with Pabbie and Anne. He walked over and sat opposite Vivi, pulled the Manuscript across from the far end of the table, and turned to the page where Anne had tucked in the note.

It was an enlarged detail of the Stone Stele Runes at the Hexagon Center. Anne had circled several key Rune connection points in red pen.

"Anne thinks these connection points are the core hubs of the entire Rune network." Harry turned the Manuscript toward Vivi. "She marked a number around each hub, from one to seven. Hub Seven is right at the top of the Stone Stele, directly beneath Cohen's body."

Vivi lowered her head and looked at the notes on the Manuscript. Hubs One through Six were distributed across the six sides of the Stone Stele, each one corresponding to a vertex of the hexagon.

Hub Seven was on the top of the stele. Six lines converged from Hubs One through Six into Hub Seven, forming a perfect hexagram.

"A hexagram." Vivi traced the shape on the page with her finger. "Six Response Nodes, the six points of a hexagram. Node Seven is in the Jordan Valley, Aldeburgh is in Britain, Mountain Shadow is in Germany, Etna is in Italy, the Lut Desert is in Iran, and the Western Desert of Egypt is in Africa. The six nodes are spread across three continents, but they're all on the points of the same hexagram."

Harry took a pencil from his pocket, drew a hexagram on a blank sheet of Parchment, then labeled each of the six points with the names of the six nodes.
